HEY HEY WE'RE THE MONKEYS!

Hi all!!! I hope you survived Monday, I barely did, LOL! What a terrible day, it was one of those that nothing goes right...uggghhh!!! So, I have decided that today WILL be better, heehee!!!  So, I am sharing another workshop card today using the Fox & Friends stamp set that is in the Occasions Mini.  I love the cute monkey, he makes me smile!! The sentiment is from the Smarty Pants set, love the sayings it has!! Very simple card again, I am trying to keep them that way for my workshops - soooo hard not to add this, that, and that other, LOL!!! On a personal note:  today is my oldest child's TWENTY-FIRST birthday!!!!!  I cannot believe my baby boy is now officially an adult. How did that happen? It seems like only yesterday that I was holding my little boy in my arms, and now he is getting ready to graduate from the Naval Academy.  I am sooo very proud of him!!! Happy birthday Zach, I love you and wish you were closer so we could celebrate!!!!!!

A LITTLE HOKEY POKEY

Happy Monday all!!  WHEW! Another weekend that just FLEW by!!! I had a fun one though. Saturday I had a workshop and it went really well.  I had never met any of them before, but they loved to stamp and several told me that they had been looking for a new hobby - I think I can find them one *wink*  Sunday, me and my daughter went shopping for the ever popular skinny jeans and I am happy to report that we not only found one pair but we found THREE pair that she liked - and believe me, with Miss Picky, this is no small feat, LOL!!!  She is such a moody little 13-year old that it was nice to see her smiling and laughing and she gave me a feel good feeling on the way home when she told me that she had "a totally great day mom".  Score one for the mom!!!  After that, I considered the weekend a great success!!!  Now, on to the card and the reason you came by, LOL!!! This is one of the cards we did in my workshop and I have to say, it was my favorite, I just love that little owl and the sentiment cracks me up everytime!!  It was a hit at the workshop too, which was great!  I kept the card simple, but still added some fun elements such as the Scalloped Trim Border Punch and the yummy Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon.  The stamp sets are Fox & Friends which can be found in the Occasions Mini, and Smarty Pants, which is available in the main catty. Both of the links for each catalog can be found on my sidebar or just click up top to go to my online site and order!  So, now I am off to work on my class for tomorrow and do some laundry.  Off to stamp - I just love my job!!! Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!! MWAH!

A SPRINGY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi all!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week - I have been very busy stamping away so I say that counts as fabulous, LOL!!!  I wanted to share a birthday card I recently made for a friend, it's got her fave colors of green and yellow and it turned our very springy!!! She loved it, which made me happy!!! I used a new set from the Occasions Mini Catty called Messages for Mom and I love all the different things you can do with this!!! The Patterned Paper is also from the Occasions Mini and is called Shades of Spring - absolutely gorgeous paper, the pic in the book does NOT do it justice!! I had lots of fun with the main image:  I first stamped it in Black Craft Ink, heat embossed it with clear powder, colored it in with my SU! markers, covered it in Versamark, then embossed it again with Iridescent Ice powder.  Whew!! Lots of steps but well worth it since it came out sooooo sparkly!!

Here is a close-up of the image so you can see!  Now, I am off to the post office to mail off some swaps and then it's back to the stamp room to prep for my workshop!!! I love my job - does everyone have this much fun at work??  I think not *wink*  Have a wonderful day all and thanks so much for stopping by, your comments mean a lot to me!!!

You see, this is the cover of the vintage mini book I will be teaching later on this month and since they are paying for the class, I won't share until after it's all done!  But, I did want to give you a taste because this baby is PURDY!!!  (yeah, I know, I am braggin' and I shouldn't, but it really really is!!!) In fact, I am very excited with how this turned out, it just makes me grin!!!  I actually took this book to a workhop I did over the weekend and they all loved it so much that nine of them signed up already!!  So, I will be doing two of these classes to allow for others to sign up!! STAMPIN' CONNECTIN SKETCH CHALLENGE SIX

Happy Monday All!! WOW! I sure had a busy weekend with lots of stampin' events going on, but it was fun!! I mean, I stamped all weekend long with other ladies who like to stamp, what more could I ask for, right, LOL?!  But, I have to say, I am tired as there were lots of late nights and early mornings getting ready as tend to leave some things until the last minute *wink*  But, it is MY turn to host the sketch this week over at Stampin' Connection so I thought I would share with you all today. I used my Simply Scrappin' Guest Book Scraps that I had left over from one of the classes I did this weekend to make my sketch card because I am in love with the papers in this scrappin' kit!!! I just love the colors and the designs!!! And, I think it makes any project you do turn out so elegant.  Pair it with some taffeta ribbon, Swiss dots dry embossing, and the Big Shot Butterfly die cut, and done!
So, here is the sketch I designed for this week's challenge - yes, I know I changed up my own sketch a bit, I tend to do this a lot, LOL!! But, the basic elements are still there, I just added a layer!  Feel free to play along and if you are a demonstrator, make sure you go over to the site and upload your take on it so we can all see!!!  Now, I am off to take care of some paperwork (uggghhh.....) and then get ready for another workhop.  Thanks for stopping by, I really love it when you do!!!

So, there is a smile on my face today :-)  Okay, on to the reason you stopped by, LOL!  Today's card is based on the Sweet Sunday Sketch and it gave me a great excuse to use up some of my scraps that I have soooo many of!!!  I loved the layout of this sketch, it is really fun to play with!!
