Hi all!! This will be a quick post as I need to get to work BUT I wanted to share a card I made for a friend who is going through a hard time right now - sometimes just telling someone you care is enough to make them smile! I know that getting happy mail for me is a great pick-me-up :-) I used one of our fabulous hostess sets called Because I Care; I can't believe how beautiful that flower is!! And, you can earn this stamp set FREE just by hosting a workshop or placing a qualifying order of your own! I kept this card fairly simple: the base of the card is Rich Razzleberry, then I took some Whisper White and ran it through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice embossing folder - doesn't add a wonderful texture to this card??!I think it really makes it pop! I then stamped the flower by coloring in the petals with the Rich Razzleberry stampin' write marker, and the leaves and stem with the Old Olive stampin' write marker - love it!!! The sentiment is stamped in Rich Razzleberry ink on Old Olive card stock and then punched out using the Designer Label punch, which is adhered using dimensionals. For the final touches, some Old Olive taffeta ribbon and a mini pearl did the trick - just the right amount of elegance to finish it off! I hope she likes it - everyone deserves a little bit of happiness in their mailbox :-) I have to say, it is one of the most wonderful parts of card making for me: I love to know that I can brighten someones day by something I made with my own hands!!! If you like any of the items you see here, you can order them in my online store or email me your order and I will be happy to order it for you! Also, March is the last month for Sale-a-Bration items: just a $50 order will earn you free stuff.....and, who doesn't love free??!!! But, you need to take advantage of this now because it will be gone before you know it!!! Now, I have to get going and head out for another day of work - yesterday was a very busy and interesting day, I think I am going to like it!! But, I also love the fact that I have this wonderful job of stamping and scrapbooking, so I do look forward to coming home and playing *wink* I will be back with something fun to share tomorrow so until then, happy stampin'!

BUSY BEE....THAT'S ME :-)
Good Monday morning! At least I hope it is - I started my new job today at the bank so as you are reading this, I am learning all kinds of new things, LOL! I am back working full-time although I still do my Stampin' Up! business as well so I will be a busy bee :-) Sooo, I have to post at night again so I hope the auto timer on google is working *giggle* Sooo, I guess it is very appropriate that I share a card today with a bee, heehee! This is a card I made at my recent Stamp-a-Stack and I have to say, I am loving the colors! We used the Occasions Mini stamp set Nature Walk. I just love how this set can be used for so many things, and I find myself inking this one up quite a bit! First we stamped the Marina Mist base of the card with the bees, then added some of the beautiful Botanical Designs patterned paper, also in the Mini. This paper has such a great vintage use to it and again can be used for all kinds of things. We scalloped the edges with the Scalloped Trim border punch, then added some yummy Early Espresso Wide striped grosgrain across the middle. The main images are stamped on Naturals Ivory card stock, which really pairs up well with the vintage papers. The images were actually stamped by coloring the image with stampin' write markers - I love that we can do this because it allows for you to use different colors for your images! The sentiment is stamped on Naturals Ivory card stock and is from the You're a Gem stamp set, another fave of mine from the mini! I swear this mini is chock full of stampin' goodness - I love it all!!! We then punched it out with the small oval punch, and popped it up on dimensionals over the piece of Marina Mist that is embossed using the Square Lattice embossing folder, and then punched out with the Modern Label Punch. Add a couple of vintage brads, and done!!! The ladies loved making this card, and oohed and aahed over the images - well, who can blame them, they ROCK *wink* If you like the things you see here and would like to have them for your very own, shop in my online store or email me your order and I will be happy to send it in for you! Don't forget: right now it's Sale-a-Bration, which means FREE stamps and things for you with every $50 order - and we ALL love FREE, LOL! I hope you are all having a wonderful start to your week! I will be back tomorrow with another SAS card to share, but until then, happy stampin'!
