BAH HUMBUG!!!

Hi all!!! Today is going to be sooo busy but really fun - I have two classes today, so I will be stamping my little heart out for six hours straight - well, teaching stamping anyway, lol!!! But first, I wanted to share with you this layout I did of Kayla last Christmas morning. Like you all, I take a lot of pictures (well, I am guessing you do!) and Kayla was getting tired of me taking pics of her, so she gave me this face - but then ended up cracking up!! Well, I caught the look on camera and could not help it, I had to scrap it!! Isn't she just sassy!!! No stamping on this, but I did use my GIANT felt flurries, which I love and are perfect for scrapbooking! I had such fun putting this page together - the deer is a die cut made from naked chipboard. I covered him in Cinnamon glitter, used a little piece of gold trim, and added a small silver bell -isn't he cute??!!! Here is a closeup so you can see him better! Also, notice that I laced all around the edges of my dp with ribbon? I just love how this turned out, really made the page soft!! I cut the title out of red glitter dp using my Cricut winter cartridge - the letters are really fun, if you look at this closeup you can see that the letter A is a tree, and the letter H is actually two little snowmen holding hands! The picture is mounted on Pink Pirouette card stock and I used one of my designer corner punches to mount it. Then, a little bit of pink polka dot ribbon and done!!! I had such a good time putting this page together - I hope you like it!!! Now, off to finish getting ready so I have some time to blurf later - LOL! Enjoy your weekend!!!

STAMP SOMETHING - SNOW SOMETHINGS

Happy Friday!!! I am so excited, my husband will be home tonight for the weekend!!! Whoohoo!!! Of course, I am teaching two classes (scheduled before we knew he was leaving) so he is going to take the kids Christmas shopping while I do that! So, today is the day for Stamp Something and the challenge today is Snow Somethings - perfect, don't you think??!! I decided to make a clear card - you know, out of clear card stock (yep, I found some!) and use some of my fabulous Old Saint Nick rub-ons, available in the Holiday Mini. The inside of the card there is a piece of Bashful Blue card stock which I stamped my snowman on - and you can see him through to the front where all the snowflakes are!! I added some silver mini eyelets to the center of my snowflakes to add some pop, and trimmed the front of my card a little shorter than the back so I could adhere my scalloped and stamped card stock to the front. Then, ribbon, a pretty brad, and done!! Well, what do you think? I am quite happy with it - and it is in the mail today, lol!!! So, if you want to see what the rest of the DT did, head on over to Stamp Something and check it out, they are soooo very talented!! And, why not try the sketch yourself? Just upload a link to your project so we can all look AND you can get entered to win some yummy goodies!!! So, I am off to run a few errands, and cook a nice meal for tonight!! Enjoy your weekend ladies, I will see you tomorrow for Scrapbook Saturday when I have a really cute layout to share!!!

TAMARA'S SKETCH CHALLENGE!

A CHRISTMAS CARDINAL

Hi all!!! Well, I am steadily getting the rest of my Christmas cards done....I am hoping to get them all in the mail this week!! I used Cardinal Christmas set on this card, I just love how pretty this stamp is. The dsp is not Stampin' Up! because all the rest of it that I have is going to be used in my two classes this weekend and my two workshops next week - sheesh, I am going to be busy!!! I love it though!! I also did not add too many embellishments to this one (although I was tempted to!) because I don't want it to be bulky when I mail it. So, a little bit of stitching and a little bit of ribbon will have to do!!!! Today I am going to be super busy taking care of household chores and errands...I have been letting them go and now I need to get to them!! I sure hope to find some stamping time this afternoon though!!! Enjoy your day!

LOVE OWL-WAYS.....I WILL

Love him always, I mean!! This card I made for my husband who is totally the love of my life, my best friend, my soul mate!! I not only love him, I like him, which I think is pretty important!! He started his new job yesterday which will require him to be away from home Monday through Thursday and I miss him already! Yes, we talk on the phone about ten times per day, but it's not the same!!! It will take some getting used to...this new schedule....but it's not forever!! So, I decided since he was on my mind, that I would make him a little card and slip it into his truck when he comes home as a surprise!! I used Taylor's sketch challenge for this card, although I did flip the sketch on it's side because it worked better for me!! I also decided to ink up this cute little owl who has been sadly neglected since I got him - I can't believe I never used him before, he is so sweet!! I will be in my craft room for most of the day today (yippee!) working on projects for the Coconut Scrapshop Holiday Hooplah and some other things I have up my sleeve, so I will leave you the recipe! See ya tomorrow!
Card Recipe:

Inks - Chocolate Chip classic ink

HOLIDAY HOOPLAH!!!

Hi all!!! Today starts the first day of Holiday Hooplah at the Coconut Scrapshop!! Every day there will be a new challenge posted and fabulous prizes awarded for the winners!! Then, three semi-finalists will be chosen to compete in one final challenge and THAT winner will be our GDT member for the month of January AND receive a FREE kit!!! WHOOHOOO!!!! So, I am in charge of the first challenge and I thought I would share my project here!! I challenged everyone to make a 3d holiday gift item with matching card. Now, I have shared the card with you all, but not the gift idea, so I am sharing that with you today!! This is a little box made out of coasters and held together with ribbon. It turned out super cute, and will be a gift for my daughter's teacher this year. I made the holes with my Crop-a-dile, used sticky tape to adhere the dsp to the coasters, and then a really strong glue to hold the entire box together. I also used my giant Felt Flurries and added some bling to the center - I just love these things and have made great use of them for holiday gifts and cards this year! Here is a picture of the side of the box so that you can see how it actually is "sewn" together by the ribbon. You can either lace your ribbon up the sides or tie individual pieces of ribbon through each pair of holes - I chose to lace each side up with alternating colors of grosgrain ribbon. Here is a picture of the box from the top so you can see what is inside! I placed a cello bag full of chocolates inside the box, and added some fun festive shredded paper to give it some fun holiday flair! I know Kayla's teacher will love this - I mean, who doesn't love chocolate, right?!! So, that is my sample for the challenge - want to play along? Just head on over to the Coconut Scrapshop, and to the Message Board and you will see the thread for Holiday Hooplah!! Not registered?? No problem - it's easy and it's FREE!!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see some of you come over and play!! Here is the recipe for my box - have a fantabulous day!
