STAMP SOMETHING - CAS SOMETHINGS

Hi All!!! I am such a slug....this was supposed to be posted yesterday but with all the prepping for my interview and everything that went along with it, I just did not get it done!! My interview on Thursday started at 7:30 in the morning and I got home that night at 9:30pm - no kidding!! It was non-stop meeting, interviewing, discussing, talking, etc......but I feel REALLY good about how it went and they said I will know in a week or two!! No matter what, I know I did the very well and although I will be disappointed if I don't get the job, it will not be because I was not qualified, prepared, or able to answer all the questions!!! Thanks a million for all your wonderfully sweet comments! And, for those of you who sent me email (anonymously of course) about how you really come to see my creations not hear about personal stuff, well, all I can say is this is my blog and sometimes you have to hear about ME!!! So, now on to the challenge. This week we are spotlighting Lauren, who is fabulously talented and amazingly creative! The Stamp Something challenge this week is to either case one of Lauren's beautiful cards or make a Clean and Simple (CAS) card that is inspired by something she has done. Well, since she does such beautiful work, I had a tough time choosing so I decided to go with using flowers since I know she loves them and uses them a lot in her creations!! Make sure you get over to the Stamp Something Site and check out what the rest of the DT gals did this week - it will blow you away!! I will miss working with Lauren, but since we are blogging buds, I know we will still chat and I will still get to enjoy her stamping art!! If you decide to play along, please upload the link to the site so we can check it out and you can be entered into the drawing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend - we are having a HUGE barbecue today to celebrate my son's 15th birthday so it will be busy, busy, busy!! See you all on Monday!!
Card Recipe:

INTRODUCING SCRAP AND STAMP SATURDAY!!!

****CAUTION - LONG POST.....NOT FOR THE FAINT OF HEART****

**THIS POST TO REMAIN ON TOP UNTIL MAY 15TH, PLEASE SCROLL DOWN FOR NEWER POSTS**

Hi all!!! Well, it is time for me to tell you all what I have been soooo very excited about this past week.......so I will!!! A good friend of mine, Melissa aka Simply Pink have been chatting quite some time about catching up on scrapbooking and fitting it in with our stamping. We are both avid scrapbookers who became stampers and became passionate about both!! So, we put our noodles together and came up with THIS!!!! Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge site!!! It is our very own site designed to inspire creativity by bringing scrapbooking and stamping together to create beautiful memories! We have worked on our site for quite some time, lined up TONS of wonderful sponsors who are as excited as we are about this idea, and now we are on the hunt for the talent that will make this site FABULOUS!!! So, please read below!!!

We are searching for EIGHT enthusiastic, talented scrapbookers and stampers who desire to share their creativity with others! International applicants are welcome to apply. Now for the details:

STAMP AND SCRAP SATURDAY DESIGN TEAM CALL

- One 12x12 layout about yourself (this will help us get to know you better!)
- Project with Vacation theme
- Project with Summer theme
- Project with Special Moments theme
- Project with a Monochromatic theme

You can do any type of project you want, but keep in mind that each of the five submissions MUST clearly have both scrapbooking and stamping incorporated into it. Those that do not will not be considered. Be creative - show us what you've got!!!!

RESPONSIBILITIES IF SELECTED:
(1) Have submitted projects to us by Thursday at midnight PST prior to the challenge Saturday
(2) Arrange ahead of time if you have something scheduled that will prohibit you from participating in a given challenge. We know life happens! However, if you fail to notify us and miss two postings, you will be dropped from the team as it would be unfair to the rest of the team who IS participating
(3) Have your project and write-up for the challenge uploaded and posted on your blog by 10am EST. Your post should include links to the site as well as to your fellow DT members
(4) List the DT team on your blog on your sidebar and display the DT site blinkie

THE BENEFITS:
(1) You will receive a DT site blinkie to display on your blog
(2) The site will clearly display your name and a link to your blog
(3) The chance to share your creativity with others
(4) Meet new people and share ideas
(5) No compensation at this time except what our sponsors provide in the way of advertising their product. Any such provision will be mailed to the DT member well in advance of that challenge week.

So, what do you think? I am very happy to be doing this, and feel that there is so much potential for a site like this - it's a great chance to catch up on scrapbooking, stretch your creativity in ways you may not have thought of, and have fun!!! NOTHING CREATIVE TO SHARE BUT....

today is the big day. I have been interviewing for a VERY big job at Chico State University since February - many long waits, three interview phases....and yep, I am at the final phase with my last interview today!! I believe it is me and one other person right now(their interview is Monday).....the day starts at 7:30am at the University and goes steadily through until tomorrow night at 7pm, ending with dinner! They have me scheduled to meet everyone from the Provost on down so it will be a very busy, eventful day! I was afraid I would jinx myself if I shared the information, but I wanted to share today because I am excited and nervous and really hoping this job is mine!!! So, no stamping last night because I was busy getting ready!! Wish me luck and keep your fingers AND toes crossed - LOL!

TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE

Hi All!! Whew!! I am busier than a one-armed paper hanger, LOL! But, I had to play along with Cindy's Teapot Tuesday challenge, they are soooo fun!! This week's teapot was all white - yep, not a lick of color, so we were challenged to only use ONE color other than white for the card. So, I made a congratulations card using one of my favorite colors, RED!!! And, I did use one of my new Sizzix Texturz Plates which I love - they are really fun and the designs are fabulous!! If you want to play along with the challenge, check out Cindy's post here and you will get all the details as well as the upload code for Splitcoast. Come on, the gals that play are really a lot of fun, and it's a great challenge!! I know I would LOVE to see what you come up with! No need for a recipe on this one, lol! The stamp set is Eight Great Greetings...and that is all folks! I am heading out the door for an all-day errand list to get ready for a HUGE day tomorrow that I cannot share with you now, but will in the near future if it all works out....which I am really hoping it does!! And, Chris, I am NOT preggo - LOL! And, this has nothing to do with stamping but something important to me...I promise I will share soon! Till then - have a fabulous day and I will catch up blurfing tonight when I get home (my workshop has been resked for two weeks from now which worked out nicely!)
