Hi all!! Well, it is still very rainy and dreary here so I have been scrapbooking and stamping a lot - can't complain there! I wanted to share a recent layout I made featuring Kayla and Bella taken on Kayla's birthday!! I thought these pics were totally adorable and they were just begging to be scrapped. Yes, I used contraband on this page - I often do when I am scrappin', not because SU! does not have awesome scrappin' products (they do) but because I have such a HUGE amount of stuff from my pre-stamping days! However, I did actually stamp on this - see those hearts? They are from the Love you Much set. I stamped them in Ruby Red Kraft Ink, then used Iridescent Ice and embossed them - I love the way they turned out! And, the chipboard alphas are Loads of Letters from Stampin' Up! that I inked up with Ruby Red, then stamped all over with the little bone from my Pat the Dog stamp set. They are stamped in Chocolate Chip Kraft Ink, then covered in clear embossing powder and embossed - they turned out really cute!! And, I also used Pat the Dog himself, stamped him, cut him out, and used him as my journaling tag!! My ribbon is Riding Hood Red striped and Taffeta ribbon, they are both yummy and went really well with this page! I love this layout, it makes me smile - I hope you like it too!! Have a fabulous weekend all, I will be back on Monday!!!

STAMP SOMETHING - RECIPE SOMETHINGS
Happy Friday all!!! WOW!! I cannot believe it's the weekend already - mind you, I am NOT complaining because my man comes home tonight - whoohoo!!! Nothing really planned, but that's okay, it's supposed to rain all weekend anyway. Sounds like movie time to me - *wink* So, it being Friday and all, it it time for another fabulous Stamp Something Challenge!! This week's challenge is Recipe Somethings - anything that has the theme recipes! This week's challenge is sponsored by JessicaLynn Originals, whoohoo!!! This is a fun one, I really love doing recipe cards and decided that I would use this opportunity to add to my recipe book. I decided I wanted to add the yummy recipe for strawberry cupcakes so I pulled out my giant cupcake stamp and went to work!! Now, this stamp actually has a cherry on top so I cut off the stem, and added some little dots to turn it into a strawberry! I also stamped a small cupcake image all over the back of the card in Pirouette Pink. The bottom of my giant cupcake is paper pieced as well (I know, I am on a kick with this technique)And, I also got to play with my new punch that is in the new catty - it's the Eyelet Border Punch, isn't it purdy??!! What is different about this recipe card is I decided to make a pocket recipe card with the cupcake being the part that pulls out. On the back of the cupcake, the recipe is printed! I am planning on using something similar to this in my upcoming recipe class as I think it is a little different and fun to do! And, I love this jumbo cupcake! I added lots of dazzling diamonds as well, so my cupcake really stands out!! I hope you enjoyed seeing my sample and will now head over to see what the rest of the DT gals did for this week's challenge!! You know they all rock - go now, you will be glad you did!!! And, if you decide to take part in this week's challenge, make sure you upload your link to the site so we can enter you in the weekly drawing AND check out your wonderful creation!! Have a fabulous weekend, all - I will be back tomorrow with Scrapbook Saturday where I will show you a fun page I did using pics of Bella!! Now, I am off to play with all my new Stampin' Up! stuff - it came last night and I cannot wait to get my hands into all those yummy new stamps and papers, and dies, whoohoo!!!

TAMARA'S SKETCH CHALLENGE
Hi all!! Well, it's that time again - another sketch challenge from Tamara! Seems like this week blew by me so fast I hardly got any of the things done that needed getting done!! I have also not been feeling very well, so I think I am moving a lot slower than usual, lol! So, this card is made using more new yummy product from the new catty!! (not sure why the background is showing blue since it's white as always) I am lovin' this Raspberry Tart paper although it does force me to use purple way more than I would normally do!! Well, at least I am finding a use for all those card stock sheets I have stuck away - heehee!! I am actually liking the color combo and I am going to use it for my Valentines card class coming up. Maybe I can get that stack of purple paper to shrink *wink*. And, if you notice on the bottom of the card front, I trimmed the edge shorter and added a scallop to give the card some added softness. Make sure you head over to Tamara's and check out what the DT gals did this week, they are amazing!! (no, mine is not there, because of the computer outage I had, my card did not make the deadline!) And, why not try the sketch yourself? Just upload a link to the blog and then we can all come and check them out - I know I would LOVE to see what you all do with this sketch! I will leave you with the recipe, I am off to the doctor to get some good drugs for whatever is ailing me - smooches all, and thanks for stopping by today! I appreciate YOU!!!

A LITTLE MOJO ON A WEDNESDAY
Hi all!!! I actually got to do Julee's Mojo Monday sketch this week - whoohoo!! I was able to print it off before my computer went down so this is what I worked on with no Internet - I actually got way more done without the computer working - LOL! So, I decided to make another Valentine's Day card using Julee's fabulous sketch! I love her sketches, they always inspire me. I also used some of my favorite DP, Bella Rose, which I was thrilled to see made it into the new Catty!!! I had some more fun paper piecing again, I just love doing it, I find it relaxing (weird, I know, but hey, at least I am honest!) I also stamped the hearts in Pink Pirouette ink, then restamped them in Riding Hood Red, cut them out, and popped them up on dimensionals for a little depth! And, of course the big scalloped oval is my Bigz Die for my Big Shot - love that machine!!!! Now I have another Valentines Day card to add to my stash AND this card inspired me to create one similar to this for my upcoming workshop so I got two done at the same time!! A little more simple than this layout, but it turned out cute - I will share when the workshop is over since I know my hostess reads my blog and she wants to be surprised *wink*. So, off to do some laundry and scrap booking. I have some really cute pics of Bella that I want to scrapbook so I will have those to share really soon! Have a fabulous day and thanks so much for stopping by to see me! Toodles!

Hi all!!! Whew - another whole day with mostly no Internet!!! After I posted on Sunday, we lost connection again, and it was on and off most of yesterday, but I think it might actually be fixed now!!! I surely hope so - I hate being without my computer!!! Sooooo, since I missed Friday's posting of the Stamp Something Challenge, I decided that I would post it today! The theme is Birthday Somethings and is sponsored by Starving Artistamps! I made this birthday card for a friend who absolutely loves the Fat Chef (well, that's what I call him anyway!) stamp set - actually, it's called Voila! I AM BACK - YEAH!!!
Hi all!! I am soooo very sorry I missed the Stamp Something Challenge this week but we have not had internet for the last three days!! It took them awhile to figure out why, but then finally found the problem in the phone lines - we have DSL so it took our connection down. But, they have now fixed it, and I am back online and hope to catch up on blogging and such over the next few days!!! Did you even notice I was gone - LOL?! Off to check out some of your fabulous blogs - I am still recovering from Kayla's sleepover yesterday, I will post some pics in the next few days!! She had a fabulous birthday and told me, "mom, it was the best party ever!" so I guess that means it was a success!! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
