SCRAP AND STAMP SATURDAY CHALLENGE - MAKIN' A SPLASH

Hi all!!! Whew!!! What a time it has been this last two weeks - vacation was wonderful!! We had such a great time with the kids - the houseboat was fabulous and relaxing, I got such a great tan!! And, we swam, tubed, fished, and ate good food, played lots of games (boggle, Yahtzee, and uno for some of the favorites) and just enjoyed our family time!! I will have some pics for you in the next few days, but today I want to share the layout for the Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge this week which is to create a layout that has something to do with water - fishing, boating, bathtime, swimming, whatever you want as long as their is water involved!! And, remember, you must include some stamping as well - we are after all a Scrap AND Stamp challenge *wink* The layout I did shows our trip to Maui with the kids where we had waterslides right at the pool at the resort we stayed at. It was such a great time, the kids had a wonderful time!! My stamps are the water splashes that I added clear embossing to for the shine, then cut out! I love the way they turned out!! And, our sponsor this week is.......ME!!!!! So, make sure you head on over to the Scrap and Stamp Saturday challenge site, check out what the fab DT gals did this week, and see what wonderful goodies you can win if you play along!! Just upload your link and we will select a winner in two weeks. Also, we will be making our Guest Designer selection at the end of July from entries for both challenges held so make sure you get yours done!!!! We have some wonderful sponsors coming up and their products are a whole lot of fun to play with - what are you waiting for??? Get on over there!!!! Heehee, have a FANTABULOUS day!!! I will be back tomorrow with a fun new project using my new stamps from Stampin' Up! I swear, this is my fave catty yet - I know I always say that, but, well, it's true - LOL! See ya tomorrow!

WHIMSY CHRISTMAS IN JULY CHALLENGE

Happy Monday all!! Well, I am still on vacation and I am sure I am having a wonderful time!! I wanted to make sure I posted my Whimsy Challenge card since this was such a fun challenge - make a card for Christmas in July!! Too fun AND I get ahead on my Christmas cards!! I decided on the moose, he just screams Christmas to me so I colored him and cut him out! I stamped my trees from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in the background and added some fun sparkly fluff from OCL to make my snow. I popped my moose up on dimensionals and put him on the card as the main focal image and I am really happy with how it turned out! Added some bling, cut out my oval scallop using my die for my Big Shot and Voila!! Christmas in July! Take a gander over at the Whimsy challenge site and see what the other DT gals did - I just know they totally ROCKED it since I saw some of them before I left!! And, if you decide to play along, make sure you upload your link to the site to get entered into the drawing for something fun! Nope, you don't have to use Whimsy Stamps, but if you have them, why not use them? And, if you don't have any, take a look at the Whimsy store, Denise has all kinds of fun stuff in there plus her new digi images are also now available!! I will be back on Wednesday from vacation and will have said goodbye to my son as he drives back to Annapolis to start the school year again. I already miss him just thinking about it!!! See you all soon and thanks so much for stopping by!!
