CHALKED EMBOSSING AND OFF TO REGIONALS!!

Hi all!!! WHOOOHOO!! Today is the day I leave for Regionals in Reno - I am sooo excited!! I am driving down with some fellow demo friends to hang out in Reno tonight and stamp all day tomorrow - doesn't get much better than that!!! I am really looking forward to it, I have not been able to attend many SU! events this past year because I was working but now, well, I am stamping so I get to go, LOL!!!  But, I wanted to share another club card with you before I left - this is the third of three cards that are going in a little purse box that we are going to make as well!!! I will share that when I get back.  I used the embossing folder called Elegant Bouquet because I love the soft look of those flowers and they fit perfectly with my technique this month which is chalking.  I chalked all the flowers in three shades of purples and then used some greenon the vines. To add a little bling, the centers of each flower is Dazzling Diamonds.  The stamp set used on this card is called Bird on a Branch and I love it, such a versatile set!! It can be FREE this month under the SAB choices but only until the end of the month, so if you want it, you better hurry!! I used the scalloped circle punch to make my flower and added some ribbon and voila! done!! Pretty simple card to make but it looks so soft and pretty with the chalks!! I love chalking and I have not been using them as much lately - need to remember to get them out more often!!! Now, off to finish packing, make sure I have my swaps (I did VERY few, I ran out of time!) and I am outta here!! I am sure I will have plenty to share when I get back! Thanks for stopping by, I love to read your comments, they always make me smile!!

FLOWERS FOR A FRIEND CLUB CARD - AND HAPPY ST. PATTY'S DAY!!

Happy Hump Day!!! And, Happy St. Patty's Day!!  I don't have a theme card BUT I did use green, LOL!!!  I can't believe how fast this week is going by - I am leaving for Reno Regionals tomorrow and I am sooooo not ready, LOL!!! But, I head out the door around lunch time tomorrow to meet my friends and they off we go!! I am excited because we are getting an evening with just us girls tomorrow night and then Regionals on Friday!! Short trip but I just know it is going to be a HOOT!!!!  Okay, now on to the card *wink* This is a Club card using embossing with clear powder.  I just love how vibrant the colors look when you heat them up!!! The image is from the set called Messages for Mom - such a pretty set!! It is available in the Occasions Mini but only until the end of  next month!! The paper is from the Shades of Spring line also found in the Occasions Mini.  The sentiment is from the SAB set called Whimsical Words, it has fabulous sayings and you can get it FREE with your $50 order but that will end on March 31st so if you want this set, put in your online order here or contact me and I will take care of it for you.  I don't want anyone to miss out on FREE - I love free, don't you??!!  I actually used the Extra Large Fancy Flower Punch (Occasions Mini) for my sentiment, I just wanted something different and fun, and I like how it looks!  All in all, a fun card to put together and they loved it too which is really what matters, right??!!  I love my Club gals, and on Saturday we are getting together and making some super fun proejcts so that is what I will be finishing up today so that it will all be done when I get home!! WHEW!! I have been a stamping machine, but if I have to work, this is the kind of work I want to do, LOL!!! I hope you all have a fabulous day!! I will have some posts while I am gone as well so make sure you stop by and visit - I love it when you do!!!

HOME IS WHERE YOUR FRIENDS ARE :-)

Good morning all!! A little later post than usual, BUT I have something fun to share!!! I was asked by Melissa over at Cheey Radishes to be part of the their DT.  I really pondered it as I love SU! first and foremost, but I decided that I could because they do digit stamps and fun templates, neither of which we do!! And, the images and shaped templates are totally cute and fun so I am excited!!!!  This week they have a challenge to make something with their house shaped template - and by the way, you can download it for FREE here!  Cut it out, score it, and voila!!!  Super easy and way adorable !!!  I had to put my thinking cap on because I really wanted to use my Fox and Friends stamp set so this is what I came up with!! I paired it with the Tall Tales DSP which I love and don't use enough!   I think I am going to add this to a layout a little later so I left off the sentiment for now.  I am happy with how it turned out and it was really fun to make!! Why not give it a try?  Melissa is giving away a really sweet prize to the winner of the drawing, but you have to be in it to win it *wink*  The contest is over at SNR Universe, fab place to hang out for cardmakers and scappers.  Just check out the groups for Cheeky Radishes and you can play along as the link for the template is provided!! I really hope you all play along - the contest ends on Thursday so get your stamp on!! Thanks for stopping by, love ya for it!!!

STAMPIN CONNECTION SKETCH WITH A LITTLE PIZZAZZ!

Happy Monday!!! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend, although I am sure they went way too fast, especially with the springing forward and losing an hour, uggghhhh.....I have never like that!  Today I am sharing the card I did for the Monday sketch challenge over at Stampin' Connection.  It is a demo site only so if you are a demo, get on over there and check it out! My fellow DT member Carol did the sketch for today and it is really fun!!!  I used the Petal Pizzazz stamp set because I thought the flowers would be perfect for all the circles in the sketch AND I adore this set!!!  Pretty simple card and it came together fast, but I am happy with how it turned out!! Today and tomorrow I will be madly prepping for all my classes and workshops next weekend since I leave on Thursday for Regionals in Reno - WHOOOOHOOOOO!!!!  I am going with some demo girlfriends that live in the Sacramento area and we are going to see some of Reno while we are there!!!  So, I am getting everything ready as well as setting up posts for while I gone. It is going to be a busy few days but fun!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by today, love that you did!!!  I will be back tomorrow with something fun to share.  Until then, happy stamping!!!!!!
