VINTAGE CARDS

Hi all!!! I hope you are enjoying your week so far!! I am fighting a really nasty cold and sinus infection so life has not been too great the last few days and all the cold, wet weather we are having right now is certainly not helping, ugghghhhhh.....I swear there are little men in my head hammering on my skull!! I have been trying to get some stamping done since I have so many events this week, but I swear my mojo is not feeling well either, lol! But, I did want to share with you these two cards I did last week using products from the Occasions Mini - I love everything in this little mini and will be sad to see it go at the end of the month!  This first card uses the Vintage Vogue stamp set which I love..it can be used in so many different ways, and I have really used it a lot over the past three months! The center flower is stamped twice with one cut out and mounted on dimensionals with a Chocolate Chip Corduroy button - YUMMY!!!!  I paired the stamps with the Sending Love DSP - sooo pretty with all the bling and embossing already on it!! And, I thought the Chocolate Chip taffeta ribbon was the perfect addition!!
This second card I used another favorite stamp set that was actually featured in the Holiday Mini but has been so popular that it is still available to order - it's called Charming and it really is, LOL!!  For this card, I wanted to still use the Kraft base with the same DSP but I added some distressing to it.  And, of course I had to add just a dab of glitter on the edges because I just love glitter *wink*  I used my color spritzer tool with my chocolate chip stampin' write marker which I think is a fun little detail to add to any card. And, the flower is actually two of the flowers stamped, cut out, then mounted on dimensionals with a pretty in pink brad.  Another piece of yummy ribbon, this one in pretty in pink, and done!!! These were fun to make and I enjoyed playing with these colors together - I think they look fabulous together if I do say so myself!!! Good thing we are keeping Kraft, I just love it - and we are now going to have ink too, whooohoo!! Okay, so before I get too excited thinking about THAT, I want to thank you all for stopping by and seeing me - I love reading your sweet comments, they always make me smile!! I am off to have lunch with a friend today and then back to the stamp room I go, LOL!!! Take care and have a wonderful day!

BUTTERFLY GIFT SET

Happy Monday all!!! WOW!! I had a super busy weekend working the vendor event at Hodges Nursery but it went very well and their is lots of donations going to the Durham Blossoms Relay for Life Team so I am excited about that! I took yesterday to recuperate and laid around, read my book, and watched television with the fam since it was pouring outside - it was nice and lazy and just what I needed to get ready for another really busy week!! So, I thought I would share with you one of the gift sets I made - it has one of the spa sets in it with a matching notecard set and I love how it turned out!  This first pic is just of the notecards - I used some Cameo Coral card stock with my Chocolate Chip and some patterened paper from the Sweet Pea collection and I love how rich it looks together!  This is a 3x3 card set with a matching box to hold the cards and envies.  The stamps are from the Pocket Silhouettes stamp set and the tiny butterfly is from the Charming stamp set.  I love that little butterfly, I have been stamping it on everything, lol!
This next photo shows the spa set and holder that I made to add the notecards too and I love how the embosslit butterflies look on this!! What a fun little die!!! I mean, it cuts AND embosses all kinds of little butterflies so there is sooo much you can do with it!! And, I added some of the yummy chocolate chip taffeta ribbon to this set - love how it looks, makes everything sooo much more pretty, lol!!
I have to say, these spa sets were a big hit as many folks were looking for gifts for mom's day and such so I was pretty pleased about that. And, the holders just add a little panache to the set and make it look finished.

Here is a photo of the whole set together so you can see what a nice little gift package this makes for someone special.  Sorry for the angle on the picture, it was really hard to get it all in one shot and still make it look presentable, lol!!!! Now, I am off to prep for a class and a workshop so lots of stamping for me today - yippee!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE my job!!! Thanks for stopping by all, I appreciate each and every comment!

STAMPIN' UP! COLOR RENOVATION - CHECK OUT THE NEW ONES!!

Hi all!! I am recovering from my big event held yesterday and I am happy to say it was a great success although I am pooped!! I have TONS of samples to share but I have not uploaded the pics yet so I will start to share them this week! BUT, today I do want to share some exciting news:  Stampin' Up! is revamping their colors and I am soooooo excited by the fresh, new, hip colors we are receiving!!! Yes, there are favorites that we will all be sad to see go, but I am sure once we ink something up with the yummy new colors, we will all feel better instantly, LOL!  Here is all the information!!!

The new color renovation is coming in July with the new catalog! Just like everything, there are trends in today's market, including color. After two years of planning, SU! has decided to retire many of the current colors, and bring in some fresh new colors. There will be new color collections, and a total re-vamping of the color families.

Some of the past "In Colors" will be returning as core colors. Remember Pink Pirourette, Riding Hood Red, Baja Breeze, River Rock, and Wild Wasabi? Those are some just some of the fabulous colors that will be returning!!!  And, all new In-Colors will now be available for two years instead of just one, allowing us to enjoy them for a longer period of time!!
