Hi all - WOW! am I glad it's Friday....what a week!! I am exhausted from all the running around and such as I am still recovering from my sinus infection....I am looking forward to sleeping in a bit tomorrow :-) So, it's time for another Stamp Something Challenge and this week the theme is Flowers and Showers! The stamp company Penguin Pants is sponsoring this week - they have clear stamps and will be sending one lucky winner some goodies!! So, make sure you play along! I decided to go with the Flowers part of the stamp set, and used my dsp to have lots of flowers in my design. I also used my A Little Birdie set....I love it and haven't pulled it out in awhile! I also used a color I don't use very often at all...I am not a purple gal, but it goes soooo well with this dp that I had to make an exception, lol! I paper pieced my little birdie with the dp as well, very fun!! Make sure you head on over to the Stamp Something site so you can see the marvelous eye candy the other DT gals have provided! And, let's see what you can do....upload your take on this challenge to the site by next Thursday and get entered in the drawing for FREE goodies, whoohooo!!! And, if you want to see some FABULOUS blogs, all the DT members for Stamp Something are listed in my sidebar....go give them some love, you know how much we ALL love people to stop by!!! Now, I will leave you with the recipe as I am going to be cutting kits for tomorrow's scrapbook class and hopefully doing a little bit of shopping before Tony comes home, yippee!! I was pretty cranky last night when he called, so I have to make it up to him when he gets home and be extra nice *wink* Have a GREAT weekend and check back tomorrow for a fun scrapbook project I have to share!

Hi all!!! WOW! Yesterday was so very busy - I did not even get to blurf and that is NEVER a good thing - lol!! I did get everything else done though, and now I am prepping for a party at my house tonight, heehee!! It's either feast or famine around here, I tell ya! I did find time late last night (or early this morning, depending on how you look at things!) to play in the Teapot Tuesday challenge hosted by Cindy aka MotherMark over at Embellish-it Scrapbooking! I am fast becoming addicted to her challenges, they are fabulous! Why not pop on over and play too, there are some fabulously talented women over there! I am relatively new to their site, but I really feel at home there already, such warm and friendly folks over there. And, I am sure most of you know Cindy from SCS - the woman is a powerhouse creator, such talent, ACK!! So, I thought I would share the card I made based on the teapot for this week! I would have posted a pic of it, but I forgot to ask Cindy's permission yesterday (doh!) so you will have to go and check it out for yourself. I am going to give this card to my niece on Sunday - it will be her 6th birthday and she loves cupcakes so it will be perfect for her!! I will leave you the recipe, and then I am off to blurf with my cup o' joe in hand, and then I must get ready for tonight!! Thanks for stopping by -you all are FABULOUS!

GRADUATION INVITATION
Good morning all!! Whew!! Today is going to be a busy day!! I have a marker class to get ready for tonight, a party at my house tomorrow night, and then a big class on Friday where we are making paper bag books!! I do this to myself evertime...I say, oh I have plenty of time, and then, all of a sudden, it's time and I have to get myself in high gear, lol!! It all works out though *wink* So, today I wanted to share a grad invite that a friend of mine (and my new downline) and I made for her upcoming graduation from Chico State - this gal is amazing: her husband is in Iraq, she has been trying to finish her degree while prepping for his deployment, taking care of the house, etc. AND is a 4.0 HONORS grad from the University!! Amazing, right?! And, fabulously talented and creative to boot!! So, she came on over to the house, we picked out the colors of the school, and went to work! We had such a great time putting these together....and yes, we made a lot of them!! We went with a pocket card, it works so well for invites and they are easy to mail, lol! Here is the pic with the insert pulled out - didn't they come out nice? She was really happy with them which is all that really matters! So, I will leave you the recipe, and I am off to do about a million things before class tonight! Thanks for stopping by today, I will be blurfing later...I can't resist, I tell ya!! I will be back tomorrow with some fun things to share!

HAPPY MONDAY - LOTS TO SHARE TODAY!!
Hi all!! I hope you had a good weekend...all I can say for mine is I am glad it's over - sometimes they just aren't that great, and I was sick for the majority of it!! Still not feeling 100% but it's better than having my head in the toilet, lol! So, I have some challenge cards to share today - the first one is a twofer: I used Beate's Weekend Sketch Challenge (hosted by Lori Craig this week) to do my card, and it also is my Mojo Monday challenge for my stamp group which is to stamp something using two sets from the Occasions Mini catty! I chose Forest Friends and Oval All although it was a hard choice as love all the sets in there, lol! And, I have to say, this sketch ROCKS!!! I love it because you can go simple or get elaborate, it's so flexible!! Here is the recipe, it's pretty straightforward.
Card Recipe:

This next card I did for Taylor's Cupcake Challenge - loved this sketch!! I decided to ink up my A Year of Sweets 2 for this one, and make a Fourth of July card...I know, it's a little early, but I love patriotic cards! The sentiment is one I made up and typed on the computer, but I like it, lol! I did lots of layering on this one, using some fabulous dsp from BG. And, I had to stitch on this one, I have not done it in awhile, and it felt good. Here is the recipe for this one:

This third card is for the Occasions Whimsy Challenge still going on over at the Whimsy Challenges site! Break out those Whimsy images and show us what you've got - there are some FREE, I said FREE Whimsy stamps up for grabs for some lucky winner so upload your link this week for your chance! For this occasions card, I decided to go with an anniversary card using the cute little walrus....I love him! The sentiment is from the Whimsy Sayings set and it matches perfectly! I kept this pretty simple, but I did add some Dazzling Diamonds to his chompers - I mean, everyone needs a little bling in their life *wink* Here is the recipe for this card.
