FIFTH GRADE....OVER??!!

I cannot believe my daughter is heading into the sixth grade - she is my baby and is growing up so very fast! I want it to slow down just a little bit, they just don't stay little long enough to suit me. This layout uses her Spring picture from this school year - I just love how it turned out! She is so darn adorable (yep, she is mine, and I can say that!) and I just love her sweet smile! I used some of my May scrapbook kit from Coconuts, it is just fabulous! And, of course my Stampin' Up! stuff - I will provide a full recipe with all products listed and clearly identified. Don't forget about the sketch - hey, there is blog candy at stake! You have until the end of the month and the ones I have seen so far are totally wonderful! Thanks for playing along, I love it!
Have a wonderful weekend, all!

STAMP SOMETHING FRIDAY CHALLENGE - IN THE WILD

Whoohoo - it's Friday everyone - know what that means??!! Time for another Stamp Something Challenge!!! This week we are featuring anything that represents something in the wild whether it is flowers, gardens, animals, trees, etc - you get the point, right??!! So, I decided that for my sample I would do a scrapbook page featuring the wild turkeys that visit us from time to time - it was totally funny to see them all marching around like they own the place! And, when they spotted me, they all lined up and marched quickly off into the woods! You could almost hear the leader saying, "this way, hurry" - LOL! Now, not all the products used are Stampin' Up! because I used my May scrapbook Kit from Coconut Scrapbooks - fabulous stuff in this one! So, I will leave you with a recipe at the end of my post, fair enough?? Those products NOT Stampin' Up! will be clearly identified as such! I did however, use my very cute Zoofari stamp set because I thought the marching birds were too cute to pass up! I also made a turkey out of my punches - I love the way he turned out! He is popped up on dimensionals to give my page a little more depth. Let me know what you think and make sure you get on over to the Stamp Something site and check out what the fabulous DT did for this week's challenge - you will not be disappointed! And, give the challenge a try and upload to the site, we all love to see what you do each week! Have a FABULOUS weekend everyone! Toodles!

TAMARA'S SKETCH 47 AND SOME EXCITING NEWS!

Okay, this may be a little bit of a long post, so please bear with me (you know you love me - LOL!) So, first off, here is my take on this week's sketch challenge for Tamara - don't you love this sketch? I decided it had wonderful possibilities and had real fun playing with it! I decided to use my Enjoy Every Moment stamp set because I still had it out and I just love it - I can't believe I waited so long to buy this one!! Oh well, I am making up for it now - LOL! So, I really wanted to give this card a soft feel and nothing does that better than rounded corners and sponging - I did a lot of both on this one! Both are really simple techniques that can add a lot to your projects. And, I used my favorite dp (well, today anyway) Porcelain Prints - I just love the soft, pretty feel of this paper and will be sorry to see it go(but happy to see some new ones!) Please make sure you go on over to Tamara's and see what the rest of the Design Team has made - they are all fabulously talented and will wow you, I promise! And, I really really want to see your take on the sketch so make sure you upload your link over on the sketches site so we can all come and check out what you created! Here is the recipe for this one:

MY TAKE ON MY OWN SKETCH!

Hi all! Okay, so I got to stamp a little bit last night - whoohoo! And, today is my son's graduation from eighth grade - double whoohoo!!! We are all going to the ceremony this morning and then Tyler gets the rest of the day off. The weird thing is that he goes to school tomorrow for the eighth grade party which is a pool party and barbecue at the racquet club here in town - you would think that would be before they graduate....right??? Anyhoo, he is done and will be officially in high school *sniff*. So, before I cry all over myself, let me share the card I made for my own sketch - teehee! I was feeling pretty bad about not having a sketch card to show you, so I am relieved that I had time to get one done! I mean, here I had to sponsor the sketch and did not even have a card - sheesh! But, not to worry, I promise not to fall down on the job again - LOL! I decided to use the Enjoy Every Moment stamp set because I just love the sentiment behind the phrases. That is my goal, to enjoy each and every moment that I can! I also used some of my SAB rub-ons because they matched so well with what I was doing. And, I used a lot of hardware on this card; for some reason I am really into the small eyelets right now so I am going with it! I mean, I DID buy millions of them, the least I could do is use them *wink*. I will leave you with the recipe. And, don't forget to link your own take on the sketch on the post at the top of my blog (and only there please so I can keep track) and enter for some blog candy! Toodles!
