STAMP SOMETHING - CHRISTMAS IN JULY

Happy Friday all, WHOOHOO!! I LOVE Fridays because I am home from work, LOL!!! I am so looking forward to blog hopping this morning and checking out all the latest creations that I have missed this week!!! And, today is also Stamp Something Challenge day!! The challenge this week is to Stamp Something Christmas and is sponsored by Firecracker Designs. So, anything having to do with Christmas will fit the challenge!! Firecracker Designs will be providing a fabulous prize to one lucky individual who participates this week. Since I don't have any of their stamps (yet), I chose one of my favorite SU! stamps sets called Big On Christmas - I love the great block lettering of the images in this set!! For my card, I chose to cut out the tree in the main image and pop it up on dimensionals to add some dimension to my card!! I had fun making a Christmas card and hey, now I have one less to make for the season!! Please make sure you head on over to the SS site and check out all the fun cards the DT gals made for this challenge - they are all really fabulous!!! And, if you choose to participate, make sure you upload your link to be considered!!! Now, I am off to blog hop - I hope you all have a FABULOUS weekend!! Thanks so much for stopping by!!

ANOTHER BIRDIE TO SHARE!

Hi all!! WHEW!! I have been SLAMMED at work - with the budget crisis in CA, my job has been soooo challenging and I have not been home before 8pm each and every night!! My son is home from college too so I feel bad that I only get a couple of hours with him each night before I become so tired I cannot keep my eyes open!!! I have to say, I really miss blogging, stamping, and scrapping - not much of that has been happening lately and it makes me kind of sad! BUT, I know the work I am doing is really important, especially during these difficult budgetary times!!! So, thanks for being so patient with me and hanging in and visiting - I swear I will catch up this weekend!! I DID have some time last weekend to stamp some and I wanted to share another card I did using some more birdies! Actually, just one birdie but it has quickly become a favorite of mine: it is a new Level Two Hostess set called Wings of Friendship and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it!!! And, the new catty is active now so you can order to your hearts content AND earn this set for your very own!!! I am hoping to put my first big order in this weekend - no time yet, but I have my list ready, LOL!!! Now, I am off to work so I will leave you the recipe for this one!! Thanks again for stopping by - you all really do make my day better!!

LOVE THESE BIRDIES!

Hi All!! Well, life is settling down just a little bit...not where it should be, but getting better! I am not clutching my hair and trying to pull it off my head anymore, so that's an improvement, lol!! I wanted to share this card I made awhile ago and forgot to share...I used my new Pebbles So Tweet paper which is so cute and perfect for my SU! chipboard birdies! And, I just love the colors too. Not a whole lot of stamping but I did sponge my birdie and the sentiment is one I typed on the computer and printed out. The eyelet is one of the decorative ones SU! came out with in the catty last time, and I just love them!!! I am getting all excited- only one more day until the new catty is ready to be ordered from - and you should see my list, LOL!!! I cannot WAIT to get all the new fabulous stamps, papers, punches, rubons, ribbons,...well, you get the picture, HEEHEE!!! It is a WONDERFUL catty, full of amazing product!!! I always get restless at the end of one catty as I wait for the next one and tend to dip into my contraband a bit more....but just wait and see what the new one brings!!! Can't wait to share with you!!! Today I am going to have some free time (FINALLY!) to myself and plan on catching up on my blog hopping - I feel so bad about all I have missed out on!!! Thanks for still coming by and leaving me love - it means a TON that you take the time to do so!!! And reminder: Don't forget to check out the fun challenge we have going on at Scrap and Stamp Saturday this week - the challenge ends on Friday and there is a fabulous stamp up for grabs for anyone who plays along!!! So, get those creative juices flowing and upload those wonderful layouts I just KNOW you have!!! See ya tomorrow!

I AM BACK....AND BROUGHT SOME WHIMSY ALONG!

Hi All!! Thanks so much for all the well wishes and sweet emails - they really touched me!! These last few days have been really stressful. My son also arrived this weekend from the Academy so we have really been juggling and really hope to have everything resolved this week! I also thought that maybe getting back to my stamping would provide me with some therapy and it really did - it felt great to stamp again!!! And, since today is Whimsy Challenge day, I have something really fun to share!! The challenge this week is a color challenge using oranges, red, and yellows and since these are three of my faves to use, I had fun with this one!!! I made a fun little congrats card using the really cute Whimsy Monkey - I just love this little guy and his cheeky little face!! I really enjoyed making this card and when I was done, I felt better so I am glad I was able to take the time to stamp!! I really hope you all will join in this week for the Whimsy Challenge - there are always fabulous giveaways for the winner and you do not have to have Whimsy Stamps to play along (although you get an extra chance at winning if you DO use them *wink*) And, hop on over and see what the DT gals did this week, they made some amazing cards for this color challenge!! Thanks for stopping by, I hope to catch up on blogging over the next few days although I am working every day this week and will want to spend time with my son in the evenings! I really do appreciate you taking the time to visit me, your comments always make me smile!
