Whoohoo!!! Here is it, Friday again - where are the days going, this week FLEW by!!!! Today's Stamp Something challenge is sponsored by my fellow DT member Lisa who is fabulously talented and challenged us to make something to do with chocolate!! I decided to make my husband's Valentine's gift - a box filled with all his favorite chocolates. I used the A2 box template from SCS which was perfect for this little project!! I used my hearts wheel on the lid, then stamped it all over with Versmark, and added some Iridescent Ice - add some heat, and voila! Instant bling!!! I also used my Eyelet Border punch on the sides of the lid and held the lid together with some brads since the sticky tape does not do too well with the embossed cardstock. Here is a photo of the inside of the box - I am not done filling it as there are a couple more things I want to add such as his favorite truffles, but I did want to at least show you what it looked like....YUM! What a fun challenge - I hope you go over to the Stamp Something site and check out what the other DT gals did, they made some seriously yummy things!! And, I know we would all love to see your take on this challenge so if you play along, make sure to link your project to the post so we can check it out! Not only that, you don't want to miss out on the awesome candy up for grabs *wink* Here is the recipe - I am off to hang out with Tony, stamp some (whoohoo!) and maybe even do some shopping - aaaahhhh, what a life, lol!! Have a fabulous weekend all, and thanks so much for stopping by! You definitely want to stop by tomorrow - I just noticed my counter went over 70,000 hits - YIPPEE!!! A BIRTHDAY RAK AND SOME AWARDS
Hi all!!! Whew - busy night with class last night, but we had a lot of fun!! I will show you the calendar we made after I teach this class again on Monday! But, today I want to share with you this really nice birthday RAK I received from my friend Denise, who is also the owner of Whimsy Stamps! Can you believe it? She sent me this really adorable card AND one of her new release stamps - isn't that image just precious???!! I am totally excited to ink this baby up - I have a friend who is having her first girl so this stamp will be perfect for her card!! Thanks so much Denise - you ROCK!!!!! I also have been very fortunate lately to have been nominated for some awards. I will apologize now, I am not very good about posting these in a timely manner, and it is not because I don't appreciate it (I do, very much!) but because my memory is not what it used to be, lol!!! These first one is from Dawn over at Daily Scrappin' Inspiration, thanks Dawn! This is a cool award that I am supposed to nominate five of my favorite blogs for. It was not easy, but here are my five picks:
(1) Rose Anne (Paper Delightz)
(2) Ila (Artfully Ila)
(3) Nikki (Bunny-Zoe's blog)
(4) Lisa (My Little Creative Escape)
(5) Angie (Schwoo! by stampin Angie)
This second award I receive from four different people: Dawn, Diane, Deb, and Risa - thanks ladies! I am supposed to pass this one as well, but it has been going around for awhile, so I am going to give this one to everyone who takes the time to pop on by and see me - I appreciate you all! Now, off to blurf a little before I have to fold the laundry - what an exciting life I lead, lol!! See you all tomorrow when I have my sample for Tamara's sketch!

THE MARINE CORPS BALL
Hi all!!!! WOW!! Yesterday was a busy day - getting ready for a class tonight, we are going to be doing a wall calendar, too fun!! I will share those pics tomorrow, but today I want to share a scrapbook layout I made for my friend's daughter (both are customers whom I have come to really like!) Isn't she beautiful??!!! (and, he is not so bad himself, they make a gorgeous couple!) She has been married to a Marine for a little over two years and of those two years, he has been deployed to Iraq twice and will be leaving shortly for his third deployment. They attended their very first Marine Corps Ball this year as a married couple and she was so excited when she showed me the pics that I asked if I could borrow one. I created an 8x10 of the photo she gave me and went to work! I made this layout for her and put it in a frame so she could hang it up if she wanted to! She was thrilled - and I was thrilled that she was thrilled, lol!!!! Everything used is Stampin' Up! The flowers are actually cut out of a piece of dsp from the Pink Flamingo paper pack - love, love, love that paper!! And, the accent papers are from that pack as well! I used the wonderful new eyelet border punch, the scalloped edge punch, lots of buttons and brads, and of course our yummy riding hood red striped ribbon! I thought it matched so well with his uniform pants, I just had to use it! The cut out flowers are covered in versamark and iridescent ice, then heat set - didn't they turn out fabulous!! Here is a closer look at just the flowers, I have to say, I was quite pleased with them!! I was excited to give this to her - one of my favorite things about being a crafter is making things for other people, it just makes my heart sing!!! So, I was really happy to do this for her!! I hope you like it too! Thanks for stopping by - I am off to finish kits for tonight, it is going to be a fun one!!

WHAT A FUN OPEN HOUSE EVENT!
Hi all!!! I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend - mine was super busy!! Friday was my SAB event, then Saturday was my birthday so I spent the rest of the weekend doing family things. No stamping at all, but I had a great weekend! However, I want to share some things from my Friday night stamping event - we had such a great time!!! This first card is one of the make 'n takes we did; several of the gals wanted to learn embossing so that is what we did!! This card is super simple but turned out very nice nevertheless!! I love the black with the pink and red, it really pops IRL! The stamped heart is from the level I hostess set A Little Somethin' which is perfect for embossing! We stamped it in black craft ink, added some clear embossing powder and watched it turn beautiful!! They all loved this - none had ever done this before, and are excited to add this to their stamping tool chest! The background is cut using the Big Shot Top Note Die, which I also showed them. I like this card as it shows that simple can still be pretty! This next card was also a make 'n take but using the SAB stamp set Polka Dot Punches. We used the heart stamp to make a butterfly, and also tried out the new and very fabulous eyelet border punch! For the butterfly, we stamped the hearts using Bordering Blue ink, covered them in Versamark, added some Iridescent Ice, and added some heat!! I just love that we now have a heart punch that punches these stamped images out - makes these soooo easy to do!This went over very well as many had wondered how to use Versamark. I love when I am able to show simple techniques that can add a real wow factor to a simple card! I also have some fun pics to show you of this wonderful group of ladies who joined me for some fun stamping and game playing on Friday!! We played Stampo - a really fun stamping bingo game which allowed the lucky winners to go home with some really great door prizes! Here they are having a great time making their cards - just check out the concentration going on at this table!! At another table however, I got to catch some of the gals being silly and having some fun! These three ladies have been stamping with me since I moved to California and I feel soooo very blessed to have met them - they make me laugh because they always have fun, and they are very talented ladies!! I have to say, the favorite tool of the evening my heat gun - they all could not wait to get their hands on this fun tool! They just loved it and wanted to emboss everything, lol!! So, I will be offering a full class on embossing techniques so they can all get their fix *wink* I really had a fun time - these ladies know how to come and have a good time, enjoy each other, and stamp their little hearts out!! Tomorrow I will show you another fun project from this event but for now, I am off to blurf and get ready for my class tomorrow night!! Whoohoo - I just love stamping!!! Thanks for stopping by today, I appreciate all of YOU!!!
