CAN I JUST SAY....

how much you guys have totally overwhelmed me with your generosity and giving spirit - I totally feel Verklempt!!! I just love all of you for not giving it a second thought, just packing up boxes and shipping them out - you all ROCK!!!!! I did talk to her husband to let him know that (1) I am not a stalker and (2) what WE are doing, and he was overwhelmed and said that she would be ecstatic! She will be out of town next weekend to take care of her MILs effects (she recently died) but will be getting back all the pictures that she had sent over the years, so at least she will have some! I am going to meet her assistant next weekend and set up the backroom as a surprise for her when she gets back and I will be including a list of all you wonderful people so she knows how many fabulous people are giving back!!! Thanks again to all of you - smooches!!!!! And, I will back with a card tomorrow morning - I am just pooped from my workshop today (it went fabulous, what a great group of gals). Hope you are enjoying your weekend!

STAMP SOMETHING - FALL SOMETHINGS CHALLENGE

Whoohoo!! Happy Friday all!! It has been a very busy week, and I am very glad Friday is here, lol! And, it is time for the Stamp Something Friday challenge which this week is sponsored by none other than ME!!!!! So, I decided on Fall Somethings - anything to do with fall, a page, a card, a 3d item, anything you like as long as it represents fall! Well, the DT gals ROCKED the heck out of this challenge, just wait until you see what they did!! Make sure you go over to the Stamp Something site and leave those ladies some love, they are fabulous!! And, you can join in the fun too - just upload your link to the site and we will all come and check it out! You will also be entered into the drawing for Blog Candy provided by none other than myself so ya know it's good *wink* ! And, if you want a peek, there is a pic uploaded of the goodies over on the SS site so check it out! So, for my sample, I chose to do a Halloween card because it seems lately that this is what I am in the mood to do! I made a square card and used two stamps sets as well as my fave dp (well, today anyway!) and I am happy with how it turned out!! The center pumpkin is actually popped up on dimensionals as is the scallop it is stamped on so it looks really dimensional in person, which I love! Now, I am off to finish preparing for tomorrow - I have a HUGE workshop tomorrow (was supposed to be 11, and now its 19!) but I am really excited about it because the gals attending are really excited - none have ever stamped before (except for the hostess, she attended the last workshop and is now hooked!) but really want to learn!! So, I am really wanting to WOW! them which requires all my brain cells so I best get going!!! Hah!!! I have all three projects done, all the kits cut (except for the seven I just found out about!), the hostess gifts made, just need to take care of door prizes and such and I will be set!!! I will let you know how it goes!! Toodles and have a FABULOUS weekend!

A HALLOWEEN SKETCH CARD - TAMARA'S SKETCH CHALLENGE 60

Whoohoo!! Time for another one of Tamara's fabulous sketches!! I had fun making this card, it came together quite fast because this sketch is really easy to play with! I have done others with it as well that I will share at a later date! So, this is my card for today - I have really been in a Halloween-making mood lately which is weird for me because I don't really like Halloween as a rule. I mean, yeah, the kids dress up and go trick-or-treating, but we don't go all out or anything. But, I am having a heck of a good time playing with all my Halloween stamps - LOL! Please make sure you hop on over to Tamara's site and check out the new DT members take on this weeks sketch - we have lots of new members and they are all really talented! Well, back to the doctor for me today - I swear, I am the healthiest sick person I know *wink* - but soon all of this VA stuff will be behind me, and I can get on with being retired, LOL! Can you believe it is already Wednesday - this week is going waaaayyy to fast for me! I have a workshop this Saturday for twelve gals so I have been trying to get my samples done for that, and I feel so behind!! Ack!!! I hoped to have everything done by Thursday night so I will have a couple of late nights! Here is one of the cards we will be making. It's a pocket card although I kept it pretty simple! I really love this dsp and it looks great with the butterflies!
Here is a pic of the insert for the card - I just love this set because you can stamp in two different colors so easily and it really gives it that WOW! Besides, butterfly stamps are my all-time favorite, I just love them and was thrilled that Stampin' Up! came out with this one!! So, pretty simple but I think it will work nicely for my workshop. Now, to come up with two more projects - LOL! So, here is the recipe and I hope you all have a fabulous day! Off to cook up something else in my craft room!

A GREAT SHOPPING TRIP AND A SKETCH CARD!

Hi all!! It feels like a Monday....but it's not - LOL! I love three day weekends, but they always throw me off for the rest of the week! It was a very busy weekend here for us since it's the start of hunting season and my husband loves to hunt with his dad, and BILs and now my son. I have had to get used to it since I did not grow up around it like he did, but it is something he enjoys doing so who am I to rain on his parade? So, Kayla and I did the girls day shopping thing and had a great time - she came home with a whole new wardrobe which she sorely needed since she grew five count 'em five inches this year - can you believe it?! And, she got three new pairs of shoes which was a bonus since we always have such a hard time finding shoes that (1) fit her, (2) are age appropriate since she wears a woman's size, and (3) that she likes. And, I streaked her hair blonde (well blonder than her natural color) last night which I was deathly afraid that I was going to mess up, but she assures me she loves!! So, a great day for us women too -LOL! I did find some time to stamp as well and I really wanted to do Cindy's sketch, especially since she was kind enough to tell me there were no stamp restrictions! Cindy's blog is relatively new to me, but I LOVE everything this talented woman does so if you have not been over there, check it out, you will be wowed for sure! I used my new Punches Three stamp set for this one, and in keeping with the sentiment, made my card monochromatic. The dsp is from the 6x6 Level One Hostess patterns pack which I love - there are some beautiful papers in this packet and they are perfect for making cards! I made this for a special friend and it will go in the mail today! Now, I have to get to working on my workshop projects for this week - two workshops this week and since the opening day of soccer season is this weekend as well, I need to have everything prepared ahead of time - LOL! So, here is the recipe, and I hope you all have a fabulous day! Toodles!

HALLOWEEN MINI BOOK CLASS

Happy Monday all!! I hope you are enjoying the long weekend - we sure are!! Kayla and I are going shopping today for clothes and shoes, just us gals while Tony and Tyler are out hunting! But, before I rush after those Labor Day sales, I thought I would share this upcoming class I have scheduled to make this darling mini Halloween book! Isn't it cute?? I am also going to offer this as a kit if you cannot attend my class so if you are interested, please email me at lilstamper@yahoo.com and I will get you all the details! I got this idea from my friend Shannon several months ago, and have made lots of these for different occasions! For this one, I used the new Halloween DSP that just came out along with two of my favorite Halloween stamp sets - I had a great time getting this put together! Here is a picture of what the inside looks like - notice that there are three inserts that can be pulled out. These are your pages for your scrappin'! And, the square on the opposite page is actually open from the top, allowing you to slide in a picture there as well! This makes a fabulous gift or a little coffee table book to share!
Here is a picture of what the pull-out pages look like! So, I will leave you with the recipe, and then off I go to shop until I drop!
Book Recipe:
Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Pumpkin Pie, Basic Black, Naturals White card stock, Ghostly Greetings Designer Series Paper

A HUGE THANKS AND A HALLOWEEN ATC SWAP

Hi all!! This will be a quick post today as we are headed over to my SILs house for dinner and some clay-pigeon shooting (well, not me, the guys, I am going for the social thing, lol!) First off though, I want to say a HUGE and heartfelt THANKS to all of you who have told me you will make some cards and send them my way to ship to the troops for the holidays. This week I will have a post drawn up for just this occasion with all the information and what I am looking for!! I will link my email so you can pm me and I will send you my addy - I don't think I should post that on my blog so I will have to do it this way!! Stay tuned and for those of you who already asked, I will be sending you my addy today - smooches to all of you wonderfully, generous peeps, it's why I love stampers and scrapbookers, you are all such sweeties!!! Okay, so the project! These are some ATCs that I made for a recent swap I was in - I just love making halloween stuff and so making these were a lot of fun! I used my Booglie Eyes set again - I just think the images are too cute!! The paper is Lovely Lilac, Old Olive, and Pumpkin Pie card stock, which are perfect colors for Halloween!! The image is stamped in black stazon on Whisper White card stock! I jused my 1 3/8 and 1 1/4 inch circle punches, added a piece of Old Olive ribbon, and popped it up on dimensionals. The sentiment is stamped in Elegant Eggplant classic stampin' ink. The dsp corners are punched out using my Photo Corners Punch. And, I could not resist - I had to add booglie eyes to my spiders!! And, well, what's a spider without some bling, so Dazzling Diamonds had to be added as well - don't you just love the way it picks up the color of the ink?? Love it!! I did put on two layers though to make it thicker and one drop of Elegant Eggplant reinker to make it a little darker! Here is a close-up shot of just one of the cards, hope you like them - enjoy your Sunday!!
