EGGCELENT LAYOUT FOR SPRING

Morning all!! WOW! I am late posting today....after all my talk of never sleeping in, I slept in this morning - lol! I must have needed it! At least I will be well rested for the crop I am going to tonight! I am super excited, I have not been in a long time because it's a long drive for me and I am still not allowed to drive long distances, but the doctor gave me the okay so I am off to scrap tonight, whoohooo!!!! So, today I thought I would share my layout I am teaching for this month's scrap class. It's super fun and colorful, and perfect for spring and egg hunting!! I had such fun with this one, using lots of stamps. I hope my gals will like this layout as much as I liked making it - but I think they will!! Here are some closeups of the two pages - taking a double layout shot is hard for me AND make it look good....need to work on that! Here is page one! See all the fun stamps? And, plenty of room for pics and journaling which I love to do...I will be using this layout myself for our last big egg hunt in Florida with all the kids' friends...we had such a good time!! *sigh* I miss Florida a LOT!!!! Anyway, here is a closer look at page two!
Again, lots of room for pics and journaling, but still lots of fun details!!! I hope you all like them - now I am off to figure out what supplies to pack for my big crop tonight! I am making a mini album for another class later this month, so at least that narrows it down some, lol!!! Thanks so much for stopping by today, I appreciate and love all your comments - they really DO make me smile!!! I am not going to leave the recipe for this layout just yet so if you have any questions, please feel free to email me and I will answer them as soon as I can! And, YES, this IS available as a kit, so if you want this layout but cannot attend my class, let me know!!! I will be back on Monday with some more fun projects to share! Enjoy your weekend all!

STAMP SOMETHING - HAPPY EASTER SOMETHINGS

Happy Friday all!! Whoohoo - my kiddos are going on Spring Break so no school for the next ten days!!!! Can you say sleeping in, lol?!! Not that I ever do, but to be ABLE to....now, that's something *wink* So, it's Friday and that means another fabulous challenge on the Stamp Something Site!! I love Fridays - the challenges are always sooo much fun!! This weeks is to create something with Easter as the theme, whatever you want as long as it is about Easter! And, the challenge is being sponsored by Digital Stamp Oasis, a fun digital images company. For my sample, I decided to make a top note treat box and Easter card for Kayla's teacher! I love all the spring colors for Easter so this was really fun to do!! And, the little bunny on top of the Top Note box is made up all punches which is really fun!! I don't know where the original idea for this punched bunny started, as I have seen several different versions different demo sites. If anyone knows, please let ME know so that I can give them proper credit!!! Here is a closer look at the box itself - I of course had to add my own flair to the little bunny by making it a girl and giving her a bow, lol!! And, here is the side view so you can see that it ties in the front and the top of the box opens like a hinge. And, I will be filling this with yummy chocolates of course *wink* I hope she likes it, I think she will!! The card was just pure fun - I love this stamp set and now YOU can have it too since the Spring Mini is open for orders! Since I cannot seem to stop using it, I added some Iridescent Ice to my Easter eggs so if you click on the card, you can see the bling! Now, show US what YOU can do for Easter Somethings!! Just upload your link to the Stamp Something site so we can all check out what you do!! And, make sure you leave some love for all the fabulous DT gals - they really do make some creative things! Have a great weekend, I have nothing really planned except spending time with Tony and stamping the rest of my April class projects! Thanks for stopping by and I hope to see you all again for Scrapbook Saturday tomorrow!!

TAMARA'S SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hi all!!! WOW!! I can't believe how fast this week is going....I did not believe my son when he told me that it was Thursday today, lol!!! My days have all been blending in together lately it seems! But, I do have a card to share today for Tamara's Sketch Challenge. Tamara is doing a Blast from the Past with this sketch....I love it, and it was new to me, lol! Great sketch, it is definitely a keeper for me to use again! I used one of my new Whimsy stamps - I have been dyin' to ink up these cute little mice and I decided this sketch was the perfect debut for them! I love all the Whimsy images but I have to say, this one is my fave!!! They are just too adorable! And, really fun to color too! This will be added to the stash of cards I give to my husband randomly in his bag he packs for the week, in his truck, or just on his pillow for when he gets home. I have not done one in awhile so maybe this one will be a good one for when he comes home again on Friday!! Make sure you pop on over to Tamara's site and check out the other DT members, they are all amazing!! And, leave them some love on their blog - the list can be found on my sidebar! And, why not try out the sketch yourself? I know we would love to see it, so upload it to the site and we will all come take a look!! Now, I am off to stamp for some projects I have been needing to finish but check back tomorrow when I have the Stamp Something challenge of the day!! SOME FUN WORKSHOP CARDS

Hi all!!! Well, I did it!! I wrapped up my last workshop of the month last night and Sale-a-Bration is officially over!! We had such a good time last night, and I got to meet some fabulous ladies...I just love meeting new people. They were a hoot to stamp with - most of them were scrapbookers who were kind of skeptical of the whole stamping thing, but by the end of the night, they were hooked (imagine that *wink*) Soooo much fun!! So, I thought I would share two of the projects we did last night - both were a lot of fun and used some of my favorite stamp sets. The first one is a pocket card which I love creating, I think they are really fabulous! I wanted to create something that felt like spring so I went with some soft colors like So Saffron, Pretty in Pink, and Pink Pirouette, and paired them with the fabulous designer paper called Tea Party. Can you believe I have been hoarding this, not using it because I did not want to cut into it? Silly me - I can always order more, lol!! The stamps are from the set Petal Pizzazz which I like using because it goes well with punches and the images layer well. Both flower images were punched out using the Circle Scallop Punch and the 1 1/4 inch Circle punch and then I cut the leaves all the way around so each flower is very 3d and fun!! I used one of the new flower brads for the center and paired it with Pretty in Pink double striped ribbon, yummy!!! I also used my Romance Wheel with So Saffron ink across the flap, and looks really fabulous IRL!! Here is a pic of the card with the insert pulled out - isn't is cute? I used another piece of the dp, scalloped the edges, added a tab, and stamped my flowers from Petal Pizzazz. And of course, I could not resist a little bling, so there is a pink circle rhinestone brad in the center of the flower. The sentiment is from the hostess set Sweet Little Sentiments...I love these sayings in this set! The second card we did using the Cheep Talk stamp set - I always seem to smile when I see those cute little birdies! I went a little bolder with my colors on this one - I like the contrast! That Pacific Point is soooo rich in color that I will be very sad to see it go this summer! I paired it with the dp Good Morning Sunshine, which goes perfectly with this set. Nothing really fancy here, just stamping and embellishing with some yummy Pacific Point double striped ribbon and using some of my punches like the Wide Oval Punch and the Tab Punch. We did do some paper piercing on this one too, which was a huge hit! I do like how it turned out!! If anyone has any questions about how any of these were done, please drop me an email, I am always happy to answer questions! As always, I appreciate very much that you all take the time to stop by and visit me - it means a lot!! Now, I am off to work on some of my DT stuff and maybe squeeze in a quick shopping trip before I have to pick up the kiddos this afternoon! No events until next week so I have a little breather, lol!! Enjoy your day and squeeze in some stamping!

CUPCAKES ANYONE?

Hah!! I bet that got your attention - LOL! This is one of the cards we did for the birthday workshop on Saturday! It was a huge hit! They loved the colors and when we added the Iridescent Ice and heated it up, wowzer!! They were thrilled - and I was thrilled with their excitement! (click on the pic to get a closer view) I tend to get a little detailed in my workshops but I have to say, it has worked for me because it keeps people interested and well, I just like to keep it that way *wink* Out of all the dp we have, I have used this one the most, I just love the colors in the Raspberry Tart pack!! So, it's my favorite (today anyway, heehee!) I will leave you with the recipe and then I am off to another jam packed day of cutting the last of my kits for my workshop tonight!! Ya know, I LOVE to teach, and I find it such a fabulous thing that something I love so much I get to share with other people BUT I am happy that I have a few days off to recuperate and get ready for a full week again next week!!! I need to get some stamping in just for me too!!! Enjoy your day all, and thanks sooo much for stopping by!! FRIENDSHIP FRAME

Hi all!! Whew!! I am recovering from one very busy weekend! I had a workshop on Saturday and a class yesterday so I was very busy prepping, teaching, stamping, and well, okay, having fun - lol!!! Although I have to say, I am still recovering, so I am very tired and will try and get some rest today before my final workshop of the month tomorrow! As a reminder: for those of you who like free stuff (let's face it, we ALL do! Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow so if you were thinking of getting free stuff from the SAB catty, make sure you do it today or tomorrow because after that it will be too late! Contact me if you want to place an order and I will take care of it right away!! Now, back to the task at hand! My workshop on Saturday was actually for one of my long-time customers who wanted to have a birthday workshop for her birthday - she loves to stamp, is very creative, and I was excited that she wanted me to be a part of it all. So, I made a rather special project for her workshop - she had all her closest friends there and so I thought it might be nice to celebrate their friendship. I found these cute 5x5 wooden frames at Dollar Tree and gave everyone their own. The inside is a 5x5 home decor item celebrating their friendship....I used my hostess' favorite colors and she absolutely loved it!! Sorry for the closeup - it was the only way I could get a good shot of this last night since I did not get home until late from teaching my calendar class! Anyway, I took the frame and painted it with white acrylic paint, then sanded it down with my sanding block once it was dry to give it more of a distressed look. I was pretty happy with how it turned out - some of the gals actually stamped the bird but left the spot blank for a picture, which I thought was a great idea!! So, this project was a big hit and she was thrilled...that was all that counted to me!!! We also did some birthday cards which I will share with you tomorrow!! Right now, I am off to cut paper for my workshop tomorrow and have lunch with my husband - whooohooo!!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me, I appreciate that you do!! See ya tomorrow!
