I had a hard time with this one, not sure why....but this is what I came up with! If you don't have this one, you need to get it - it is a MUST HAVE!!! I have used it sooo much on so many different projects and it really adds a lot!! I will leave you the recipe and then I gotta run - lots to do before I leave for my mom's house on Saturday!! I cannot WAIT to see my mom and sister, it is EXACTLY what I need right now!!!! Thanks for stopping by, I love each of ya for it!!!

MY SWEET VALENTINE

Hi all!!! I have been madly stamping to get my projects done before I leave on Saturday for my mom's house - I want to get my kids and Tony's Valentines stuff all done before I go, whew!!!! So, I decided to use Karen's fabulous Sweet Sunday sketch this week to make Tony's card because I love square cards and it gives me more room on the inside to tell him how much I {heart} him!!!! I did not use any pink on this one, Tony is not a pink sort of guy, LOL!!! So, I decided to use my Very Vintage Jumbo wheel and make the background instead of using DSP. And, I love this wheel so it was no hardship *wink* I am lovin' the new punch from SU! called Two-Step Birds - I cannot get enough of using it and I soooo hope it will be in the new catty!! Aren't they cute??!! I decided that brads were too big for the eyes so I racked my little brain and came up with the idea to use the small microbeads and they worked out perfectly....I love when a plan comes together, *giggle*. I also used the small heart from the I {Heart} Hearts stamp set (available in the Occasions Mini) and stamped on the Ruby Red Card stock in the same color ink. Fun!! I love how the card turned out, and I know my man will appreciate it because I made it - he loves all my creations, even the crappy ones, LOL!!! And yes, I did the inside but you can't see cuz it's private, *wink*. Today I am going to run to the grocery store and then finish up some more of the projects I have started so I will have some fun new things to share tomorrow too!!! Thanks for stopping by, I love ya for it!!

AN EASEL CALENDAR

Happy Tuesday all! I hope your week has gotten off to a good start - mine has! I got sooo much done yesterday, which means I can have some playtime today, YAY!!! But first, I wanted to share this cute little easel desk calendar - I saw one similar on my good friend Corinne's blog (you may know her as Roxy) and told her I just had to CASE it, LOL!! She is such a talented gal, and she is a super sweetie to boot!!! Thanks girl, love ya!!!! So, here is my version of this cute little calendar. I used papers and colors from the Bella Bleu paper collection because these colors accent my home decor (my house is Tuscan-themed since we lived in Italy and fell in love with it) and I want to use it on my desk. The stamps are from the Vintage Vogue set, another one of my faves that can be found in the Occasions Mini. The ribbon is Whisper White satin and the buttons are from the latte collection which is truly yummy!! I also used my Eyelet Border punch to add some accents! The calendar is held together by two little brads and you can just rip off each month as they finish - I already did January and it worked beautifully, LOL!!! What is fabulous about this is that if you want to mail it to someone, it folds right down flat and can fit into an envie - gotta love that!! I will be teaching this little cutie in a class next week so if you are in the local area and want to make one for yourself, give me a shout and we will get you signed up although you have to hurry, I have very few spots left! And, if you can't make it in person, I am offering this as a kit to go as well so let me know if you are interested! Now, I am off to work on Club projects and a couple of scrappy projects, whooohoo!! I love getting to play!!! Thanks for stopping by, your comments mean the world to me!!!!

SKETCH CHALLENGE AT STAMPN' CONNECTION

Happy Monday all! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend...I did!! Saturday was my anniversary so I spent time with Tony and we went out to dinner and just hung out...low key but nice!!! Yesterday I stamped all day getting ready for a class, club, and workshops coming up this week so I have been very busy but fun busy :-) So, today I am sharing the card I made for the sketch I did for Stampin' Connection Sketch Challenge Monday. I kept the sketch pretty simple but there is still a lot you can do with it. I used my stamp set called Great Friend, which is a particular favorite of mine. I also used my in-colors on this one as I feel like they have been neglected lately, LOL! and I wanted to do a little something other than a Valentine card. The sketch that is posted over at the Stampin' Connection site so if you are a demo, you can upload your images there so we can all check them out! And, if you are not a demo, here is the sketch so you can play along just for fun!! Now, I am off to meet with some ladies who want to start a new club and then I get to get the oil changed in my car, exciting I know!!
