A TASTE OF SPRING

Hi All!!! WOW!!! I cannot believe how fast this week went by!!! I have been really busy the last few days, but a fun busy since I was teaching workshops!! We really had a good time and I got the chance to meet several ladies who had never stamped before (can you imagine??!!) but now they LOVE it and we already have another get together planned for later in the month.  I love meeting new people!!  So, today I am going to share a card that we made in Club using stampin pastels chalks.  It was nice to break  them out again, they are really are great to use!  The stamp set is one of the Occasions mini sets called Abundant Hope and I think these flowers just scream Spring to me and well, I think we are all ready for Spring, LOL!  I used the designer paper from the Occasions mini set called Shades of Spring,  Such soft, pretty colors in this paper. The sentiment is from a set called A Little Somethin' which has fabulous sentiments that fit perfectly with our punches!  Love that!  This card makes me happy because it reminds me of the start of warm weather, and all the flowers starting to bloom - my garden is starting to come in and the first one to bloom was a daffodil!  Now, off to finish getting ready for my scrappy gals group to come and make a fun spring layout - can you tell I am sooooo ready for nicer weather??!!  I know we needed the rain, but that is all it has been doing for two months so some sunshine would be nice!  Thanks for stopping by, I love it when you do!  Enjoy your weekend and I will be back Monday with something fun to share!

THREE OF MY FAVORITE THINGS!!!

Shoes, shopping, and chocolate - it doesn't get any better than that, LOL!!! This is another workshop card I recently did, and I have to say, I wish I had not waited to long to use the Things I love stamp set, I just love it!! It is so fun to play with and there are so many things you can do with it!!!!  And, this was the fave for the group as well although I learned *gasp* that their are women who don't like shoes and *double gasp* don't like chocolate - I mean, I almost had to go and sit down!!! Imagine, going through life without those two things - ACK!!!!  But, we made it through the workshop anyway, with some of the gals changing their cards to reflect all shopping, all chocolate, etc.  That is the beauty of card making, you can take something and totally make it your own - just love it!!! And, who doesn't love polka dot ribbon??!!! I just think these in-color ribbons are yummy!!!  So fun and they add so much!! Well, today I am finishing up a scrapbook workhop that I am doing in the next few days and putting the finishing touches on my Chicks and Chocolate class tomorrow - I just love all this stamping!!!  I hope you are all having a fantabulous day and remember, it's all downhill from here - the weekend will be here before you know it!!!  Thanks so much for stopping by, all your comments make me smile!!!

HEY HEY WE'RE THE MONKEYS!

Hi all!!! I hope you survived Monday, I barely did, LOL! What a terrible day, it was one of those that nothing goes right...uggghhh!!! So, I have decided that today WILL be better, heehee!!!  So, I am sharing another workshop card today using the Fox & Friends stamp set that is in the Occasions Mini.  I love the cute monkey, he makes me smile!! The sentiment is from the Smarty Pants set, love the sayings it has!! Very simple card again, I am trying to keep them that way for my workshops - soooo hard not to add this, that, and that other, LOL!!! On a personal note:  today is my oldest child's TWENTY-FIRST birthday!!!!!  I cannot believe my baby boy is now officially an adult. How did that happen? It seems like only yesterday that I was holding my little boy in my arms, and now he is getting ready to graduate from the Naval Academy.  I am sooo very proud of him!!! Happy birthday Zach, I love you and wish you were closer so we could celebrate!!!!!!

A LITTLE HOKEY POKEY

Happy Monday all!!  WHEW! Another weekend that just FLEW by!!! I had a fun one though. Saturday I had a workshop and it went really well.  I had never met any of them before, but they loved to stamp and several told me that they had been looking for a new hobby - I think I can find them one *wink*  Sunday, me and my daughter went shopping for the ever popular skinny jeans and I am happy to report that we not only found one pair but we found THREE pair that she liked - and believe me, with Miss Picky, this is no small feat, LOL!!!  She is such a moody little 13-year old that it was nice to see her smiling and laughing and she gave me a feel good feeling on the way home when she told me that she had "a totally great day mom".  Score one for the mom!!!  After that, I considered the weekend a great success!!!  Now, on to the card and the reason you came by, LOL!!! This is one of the cards we did in my workshop and I have to say, it was my favorite, I just love that little owl and the sentiment cracks me up everytime!!  It was a hit at the workshop too, which was great!  I kept the card simple, but still added some fun elements such as the Scalloped Trim Border Punch and the yummy Dusty Durango Polka Dot Ribbon.  The stamp sets are Fox & Friends which can be found in the Occasions Mini, and Smarty Pants, which is available in the main catty. Both of the links for each catalog can be found on my sidebar or just click up top to go to my online site and order!  So, now I am off to work on my class for tomorrow and do some laundry.  Off to stamp - I just love my job!!! Have a wonderful day and thanks so much for stopping by!! MWAH!
