FRIENDSHIP

Good morning all!! WHEW!! This week has been a doozy between vet visits, doctor visits and everything else.....but things are starting to settle down somewhat since Kayla is starting to recover from strep and Dexter is healing nicely. I did manage to get some stamping done yesterday since I have a workshop today so I thought I would share one of the cards we are going to be doing. I am excited about this workshop because it's fifteen gals I have never met - what a great chance to meet some new friends close to home as this is the first one I have actually done in Oroville!! Most of my workshops and classes are all taught in Chico which is where I work....it is about 45 minutes away (although the drive is nothing for me anymore!). So, this will be fun!! The theme for this workshop is friendship since I was asked not to do any type of holiday cards. I used my Flight of the Butterfly stamp set and lots of the new in-colors as I just love them!! This card seems bright and cheerful to me - it makes me smile so I hope it does the same for them!! I also used one of my new embossing folders called Finial Press for the background, I just love how much they add to the card! I did stamp the butterfly twice and pop one up over the other with my dimensionals. It's easy to do this now that I have the fabulous new butterfly punch - so fun!! A simple card, but pretty I think, right?! I hope they like it! So, I am off to blog hop over coffee(I don't get to do that as much anymore!) and then get packed up and ready for my workshop, WHOOHOOO!! I will be back on Monday to share another project we are doing as well as show you the hostess gift I made for her!! Thanks for all the well wishes and for stopping by to see me, you are all THE BESTEST!!!!!!! Smooches!!!

LOTS GOING ON....NOT ALL GOOD

Hi all!! I wanted to pop in and say that life has taken one of those detours: between strep throat with my dd, my dog having severe injuries from a wild animal, and someone I am very close to and love very much going in for surgery for the fourth time over the same issue, well, I have had no time to do anything else! To top it all off, I think I am getting sick as well although I am trying to be in denial right now!! I hope to be back soon - I am teaching a couple of workshops this week and had to prep for those, so I will share those projects soon!! Thanks for poppin' in!!!!

A LITTLE BIT O' SHIMMER

Happy Monday all!!! Well, I wish I could say the weekend was fabulous, but I was sick on Saturday and ended up being in bed the majority of the day - so yesterday was all I really had! Now, back to work today...ugghhhh......oh well, at least I got to hang out with a couple of my stampin' friends yesterday afternoon!!! So, tonight I am teaching a Santa in September class and I thought I would share one of the cards we are going to be doing. It is with one of my fave sets called Snow Swirled because I love the tree. Although, I have decided to rename the tree the shimmer tree for this card because I added some of the fabulous new shimmer paint!! I used the champagne one and I just love how it turned out!! The tree really shimmers IRL, especially in the light! (click on the image to see up close). The sentiment is from the Hostess Level II set called Christmas Punch - I love this set because every single stamp fits one of our punches!! This one fits the wide oval punch, which is one of my favorites for sentiments. And, I added a small piece of Old Artichoke ribbon as well! It's a pretty simple card because some of the others are quite detailed and well, we can't be there all night, LOL!!! Now, off to work and then off to stamp - what a way to start the week!!! I hope you all have a fabulous day - thanks soooo much for stoppin' by....I love reading all your comments, they make my day!
