SCRAPBOOK SATURDAY

Hi all!! At this time, I am getting ready to disembark from my cruise ship and head back to Jacksonville for a week of hanging out with all my friends and doing some really cool Disney things!! Can't wait to share!! But, today you have to make do with another one of my scrapbook pages that I made using the wonderful October kit from Coconut Scrapshop!! Love it and had a lot of fun playing with this kit!! These pics are again from Thanksgiving 2006 and describes the steps to carving the perfect pumpkin!! Kayla actually did hers all by herself for the very first time (with dad keeping a close eye of course!) and was super excited with how her pumpkin turned out!! I used a circle theme for my layout to mimic the pumpkin shape and I even punched out my pictures using the Circle Scallop. I hardly ever shape my pics anymore, but for this layout, I thought it would be okay. And, if not - don't tell me, LOL! It's hard to see in the pic, but the stickles is actually in the shape of pumpkins and looks great IRL, just not so much in the picture! So, if you have fallen in love with the papers and embellies in this kit, get on over to the Coconut Scrapshop and get your own kit - it really is awesome!!!! Have a great weekend!

STAMP SOMETHING FRIDAY....NOT!

Happy Friday all!!! Well, normally today I would be sharing my Stamp Something challenge with you, but it is a sketch challenge and the sketch was not available to me before I left BUT that does not mean you can't get over to the Stamp Something site and check out what the rest of the DT did - I am sure they will WOW! you with their cards! And, upload your take on the sketch to the site so we can all come over and take a peek!! So, even though I don't have that to share, I do have something! I made another CD gift card holder, this time for Christmas! And, I plan on using this one myself for my son to take back all his cards in for the Naval Academy as they make the best gifts for him! I feel safe listing this because he DOES NOT read my blog - lol!!! I used my Jolliest Time of the Year stamp set again - I just love the whimsical cuteness of the stamps! This time I used Frosty, just love him. And, yes that is retired DSP but it is in his colors so I wanted to use it and Zach could care less if it's current or not! And, here is a picture of the inside of the case with the matching card and the gift card holders - I actually am putting three in this one instead of one (spoiled boy!) The stamp on the right side is from the new stamp set called Winter Post, which is part of Shelli's signature collection and is available in the holiday mini. This stamp is awesome because the Designer Label Punch fits it perfectly, making it a wonderful choice for card sentiments! It is a fabulous set and one of my favorites from the mini! And, I used quite a few of my felt flurries that are also available in the mini - they are awesome!! The rest is pretty self-explanatory but if you have any questions, just holler and I will answer them when I get back! Have a wonderful weekend!!!

FALL DAISIES - HEY, IT COULD HAPPEN!!!

Here is another workshop card I did recently and in keeping with the fall theme, worked those fall colors with the Upsy Daisy set - I love this stamp set!!! This was another fun card to make because we got to play with sponge daubers, which I love!!! And, we played around with the technique I learned at Convention where you use your blender pens to take off some of the stamped ink and then add different color ink back on the stamp with your markers - cool, huh? That is how the stems became green!!! And, of course no fall card (heck, no card really) is complete with some Chocolate Chip so I made sure I got some of that in here too!! So, here is the recipe - have a wonderful day!
Card Recipe:
Paper - Kiwi Kiss, Naturals White, Chocolate Chip card stock, Haiku Designer Series paper
Inks - More Mustard, Really Rust classic inks, Old Olive stampin' write marker

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GIFT CARD HOLDER

Hi all!! Today I want to share with you a cd case that I made into a gift card holder and matching card for a special little girl (or big girl for that matter!) This was one of the items I had at my craft fair, hence the retired paper - although I LOVE this paper and was sorry to see it go!! But, the cupcakes are from the current catty in a set called Crazy for Cupcakes and I adore this set - AND they are special this month (see the right side of my blog for the flyer!) And, yep, you can order even though I am not here, just go to my Stampin' Up! website and order online (link on the right side of my blog!!) I did add some dazzling diamonds to my cupcakes, I mean, every girl deserves a little bling in her life, right??!!! And, some buttons and yummy ribbon complete the front!! Here is a picture of the inside! On the left side is the card made with the large cupcake from the Crazy for Cupcakes set (and I am, they are yummy!) and on the right side is the pocket I made for the gift card. I think this makes a great gift set - and these were very popular at the craft fair!! Hope you like it!!
