Happy May Day all!!!! Can you believe it's already the first of May??!!! And, I am still wearing long sleeves....soooo not right!!!! But, hey, it's Friday and you know what that means, right? Whoohoo!! Time for another Stamp Something Challenge!!! I have to say, today is a bittersweet challenge day for me - on the one hand, the challenge is to CASE my fellow DT member Cindy...but on the other, Cindy will be leaving the team! I have enjoyed meeting her immensely, her talent is phenomenal, and she is just as sweet as can be!!! Plus, she's a fellow demo, so she's gotta be cool, right? *wink* So, I chose to CASE the card that Cindy did here I kept the layout but moved around some of the accessories, added a sentiment, and changed the theme to Mother's Day in keeping with today's challenge! I actually have mailed this already, lol!! So, why not head on over to the Stamp Something site and check out what the rest of the DT gals did! And, play along with us this week - go to Cindy's blog (LOTS of eye candy there), find a fave, and CASE it using a Mom's Day theme....then upload the link to the site and be entered into the drawing!! What's not to like about that??!!! Here is the recipe.

TEAPOT TUESDAY CHALLENGE
Happy Hump Day - halfway there and the weekend will be here, whoohoo!!! I look forward to it because I don't have to get up and take kiddos to school and Tony is home, lol!! Maybe I have gotten lazy since I retired....I hate to get up early!! But, I do love to stay up and stamp late - heehee! This card is one I did for Cindy aka MotherMark's Teapot Tuesday challenge. Each Tuesday she posts a picture of one of her teapots and we make something inspired from the its design, color, etc. I really enjoy doing this challenge, the gals are hysterical and I LOVE to read Cindy's tales that she weaves each week!! If you haven't ever checked it out, you really should, it's really fun!! And, since Cindy graciously gave me permission, here is a picture of the teapot for this week - isn't it pretty??!! I drew my inspiration from the colors, the flowers, and the stripes and went to work!! I decided to make a mom's day card. I used the Eight Great Greetings set from the Occasions mini for my sentiment and image - I just love it, and it's sooooo true!! I swore I never wanted to be like my mom when I was younger, and now I thank God everyday that he allows me the privelege of being like her!! She is a fabulous woman and I love her to death!! I had fun with my Big Shot dies again cutting out all the daisies, it is now my favorite die, I just love it! And, lots of bling because moms deserve it, heehee!! Today is housecleaning day for me and then I am going to get things ready for my big scrapbooking weekend, whoohooo!! I am looking forward to it. SUMMER SCRAPBOOKING FUN!!
Hi all!! Well, another Monday come and gone....I am looking forward to this weekend since it is National Scrapbooking weekend and I am attending a fabulous crop at my LSS with some wonderful friends - I can't wait!! So, in anticipation of National Scrapbook Month (May!) I wanted to share the mini scrapbook I taught over the weekend - my gals loved it, we has so much fun putting this together!! It's a summer fun book, and could easily be used for a vacation weekend, time on the lake, a day at the beach, a picnic, whatever you want! I am going to give it to my daughter who wants to put some beach photos in it of her and her friends. It makes me happy that she likes it enough to want it for herself - put a smile right on my face! I used lots of bright, fun colors to emphasize the summer feel to this - and I also used quite a few of my Big Shot Dies as well. I tell ya, I love that machine, it is sooo much fun to play with!! So, here are the inside pages of the book, feel free to click on them if you want to see them up close and personal, lol!
Since there are so many details in this book, I am not going to post the recipe, but if you have any questions, please feel free to email me!! And, I am also selling this book as a kit - it will come to you all stamped and cute, you just need to assemble - if you are interested in purchasing, please email me and I will get one right out to you! I have of DT things to get done this morning so I will be a stampin away, which I am looking forward to!! And, I am REALLY looking forward to Friday when I can share my news - can't wait!!

WHIMSY MONDAY CHALLENGE - MONOCHROMATIC CARDS
Happy Monday all!!! Well, I did not mean to take a blogging break but this weekend was crazy busy between teaching classes and family obligations - I did not really have the time or energy to stamp and post on my blog, lol!!!! But, today is Whimsy challenge day and I DO have a card to share!! Denise challenged us to come up with a monochromatic card, allowing for one neutral with whatever color we chose!!! Well, I am just love this carriage, it totally reminds me of Cinderella, lol! I went for pink because isn't that what every princess wants?? I also used a lot of bling on my scallops and the carriage is covered in Iridescent Ice (click on the pic for a better view). The quote is one I typed up myself, but goes perfectly with the carriage, at least to me, lol! I enjoyed making this card, it was really fun! I hope you will all get out your Whimsy stamps this week and play along - there are some fabulous prizes given away at the end of each challenge!! So, hop on over to the Whimsy Challenges site, and check out what the DT gals did for this challenge, they are sure to blow your mind with their talent!! And, upload a link to the site with your take so we can all come check it out!! Don't have any Whimsy stamps? Not to worry, just head on over to the Whimsy store and see what cuteness is there - you won't be able to resist, I couldn't!!!! And, stay tuned for some VERY EXCITING NEWS from me on Friday, I can't wait to share it with you all.....heehee....all I know is it is making me smile and feel giddy with excitement!!!
