A HOLIDAY KEEPSAKE BOX

Hi all!!! Whew!!! This was one HECTIC weekend, sheesh!! Our kids have the whole four days off with today being Veteran's Day (HAPPY VETERAN'S DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!) and so I had my nieces and nephews for the whole weekend - yep, they ate, played, slept here at my home all three of the last days!! Eeeek - I don't know how people with eight kids do it, I was pulling my hair out by this morning - LOL! But, they seemed to have a good time and we took them to see Madagascar II yesterday, which was a cute movie. Then, pizza afterward and home to their parents!! I need a vacation now, teehee!! Needless to say, my big plans to stamp all weekend went flying out the weekend and I will be stamping my heart out this weekend getting ready for the craft fair. So, let me share a project I was FINALLY able to complete: Remember, the garland I posted here? Well, I made a decorated box for it so that it can be stored once the holiday is over and not get destroyed. I made this for my upcoming craft fair so I am hoping it is a hit! That first picture is of the top of the box. I tried to keep to the same theme and color scheme as the actual garland and I must say, I am very happy with how it turned out! Here is a picture of the inside with the garland stored and the lid off - isn't it cute??!!! I used a template that I have for the box since it fits an A2 size card perfectly. Also, there is a super tutorial by Beate on Splitcoast on this box as well so check it out!! So, this is my project for today, I am so glad I finally got one done, lol!!! I will leave you with the recipe and I AM going to be stampin all day today so it will be a fun day and I will have some more fun stuff to share with you tomorrow! Till then - Happy Stampin!
Box Recipe:
Paper - Riding Hood Red, Garden Green, Whisper White card stock, Patterns Prints Designer Series Paper

Stamps - Snow Swirled
Accessories - Alpine Ribbon, Wide Oval Punch, Scallop Circle Punches, Always Artichoke narrow grosgrain ribbon, Riding Hood Red Taffeta Ribbon, Felt Flurries, Earth Elements buttons and brads, paper piercer, mini glue dots, stampin' dimensionals
