STAMP SOMETHING - CAS SOMETHINGS

Hi All!!! I am such a slug....this was supposed to be posted yesterday but with all the prepping for my interview and everything that went along with it, I just did not get it done!! My interview on Thursday started at 7:30 in the morning and I got home that night at 9:30pm - no kidding!! It was non-stop meeting, interviewing, discussing, talking, etc......but I feel REALLY good about how it went and they said I will know in a week or two!! No matter what, I know I did the very well and although I will be disappointed if I don't get the job, it will not be because I was not qualified, prepared, or able to answer all the questions!!! Thanks a million for all your wonderfully sweet comments! And, for those of you who sent me email (anonymously of course) about how you really come to see my creations not hear about personal stuff, well, all I can say is this is my blog and sometimes you have to hear about ME!!! So, now on to the challenge. This week we are spotlighting Lauren, who is fabulously talented and amazingly creative! The Stamp Something challenge this week is to either case one of Lauren's beautiful cards or make a Clean and Simple (CAS) card that is inspired by something she has done. Well, since she does such beautiful work, I had a tough time choosing so I decided to go with using flowers since I know she loves them and uses them a lot in her creations!! Make sure you get over to the Stamp Something Site and check out what the rest of the DT gals did this week - it will blow you away!! I will miss working with Lauren, but since we are blogging buds, I know we will still chat and I will still get to enjoy her stamping art!! If you decide to play along, please upload the link to the site so we can check it out and you can be entered into the drawing. Enjoy the rest of your weekend - we are having a HUGE barbecue today to celebrate my son's 15th birthday so it will be busy, busy, busy!! See you all on Monday!!
Card Recipe:
Paper - Always Artichoke, Mellow Moss, Whisper White card stock, Old Olive Pattern Prints Designer Series Paper
Stamps - Friends
Inks - Chocolate Chip
Accessories - Scalloped Edge Punch, Chocolate Chip narrow grosgrain ribbon

Oh Alex, this is gorgeous! And I'm sure you'll get the job.

As for those "persons" who sent those emails - get a life! I so agree with you, Alex. It's your blog and that's what it's all about! The nerve of some people!

Hugs,

Your CAS card is wonderful girl!

Gorgeous card Alex! I have my fingers crossed for you! Blogging is all about sharing - not just artwork and creative "things" but sharing in general. Folks who are only looking for "stuff" need to go to an art gallery. Blogging is interactive! ~chris

I hope you get the job. You have a great attitude about it. And yes, this is your blog and you can chat away if you want to. And most of us want you too!

Wow Alex - I can't believe people would be so insensitive as to say something like that - everyone I know has personal stuff to say on their blog, makes it worthwhile getting to know everyone! And I will say a special prayer for you that you get this job - and your card is great - as always!

I am shocked at that emailer, a blog is such a personal thing, I can't believe someone would criticise anyone for what they would write!

As for the person who sent you an email, take no notice, I love your chatty informal style of writing, and take an interest in your life, as do all your bloggy buddies, so carry on in your usual sweet way and ignore it.
Fingers and toes crossed for the job

This is beautiful Alex! Love the scalloped edge and the colors!

So sorry someone was rude enough to email you that! I personally like when bloggers talk about themselves too, and not just their creations. You kinda feel like you know them a litte more that way.
