SOMETHING FOR MOM

Hi all!! Sorry I have not been around much but I have been madly stamping away trying to get ready for a reallly big craft show here on Saturday! For those of you that are local, I hope to see you all at Feather Fiesta Days, there is going to be lots going on!! And, I am having a big drawing for a super fun basket of door prizes, free make 'n takes, and lots of fun classes on display! And, of course I will have lots of crafty things on sale for those last minute shoppers looking for something cute to give to mom *wink* Speaking of, I wanted to share a card I made recently - yes, this set is recently retired from the Occasions Mini but I wanted to share it anyway since it is such a great set for Mother's Day! I used the In-Colors Rich Razzleberry and Crushed Curry, which I have to say, looks yummy together! I also used the patterns DSP that comes in Rich Razzleberry and I love it!  Since I neglected my poor little hearts border punch, I decided to use it on this card, and it really turned out cute and is perfect - I mean, love and moms go together like peanut butter and jelly, right, LOL!  The ribbon IS the Crushed Curry Polka Dotted ribbon, I just turned it upside down and when I did my bow, I made sure the dots were face down - I thought the dots would be a little much with all the flowers, heehee!! And, I also did the inside of this one so I thought I would share that with you as well!
I stamped the flower image in Rich Razzleberry and added some Crushed Curry accents with my stampin' write marker.  Simple but I think it turned out cute and gives the card a finished look!  I feel bad that I have neglected all of your blogs this week and hope to squeeze some time in later tonight to go blurfing......right now I am going to make a few quick projects before I have to take Kayla to the doctor! Thanks sooo much for stopping by, I really love your comments and I read each and every one of them! Have a wonderful day!

CUPCAKES ANYONE??

Happy Monday all!! I am posting this a bit later than usual but had a class this morning so better late than never, lol!!  I wanted to share pic of what I did this weekend.....remember all the cupcake boxes?  Well, I spent the better part of Saturday filling them with yummy pink cupcakes for the birthday girl!! So, I thought I would share those pics so you could see how they turned out!!!  I actually made fifty of them, but hey, I could not fit them all in the same pic, heehee so this give you and idea of what they looked like.  These are my own recipe with a special icing that I made pink for the birthday girl who turned one last week!  They also are covered in pink sprinkles because you can never have enough pink, right *wink*  In addition to making the cupcakes, the mom asked that I make a cake just for the birthday girl to have - we all know what fun it is to watch them dig their hands into their first cake, LOL!!  So, I told her I would and I decided that since she was having a cupcake party, I would make her an extra-large cupcake cake!
Here is a picture of how it turned out!  I added some polka dots with yellow icing and then used my butterflyl embosslits to cut out lots of butterflies in different shades of purple (here birthday colors were pink and purple) and I think it turned out pretty cute!!! And, the mom thought so too, which to me is what really counted!  These were all soooo fun to make, and the best part was my daughter Kayla helped me with it all and we had such a fun time together, laughing, playing with icing (she got me in the face once, heehee!) and just enjoying the time we were spending together! I cannot remember the last time I had such a good time - they grow up soooo fast and so each and every moment that we spend with them is so precious!! Just remembering the fun we had puts a smile right on my face!!!  So, now you know how I spent the weekend - not too bad at all!  This week I am prepping for my scrap classes and the HUGE annual craft event here in my town so lots of stamping going on around here!! Love it - what a great job I have :-)  I hope you are all having a wonderful Monday - our weather here is beautiful and I have al the windows open to enjoy the fresh air and sunshine! Thanks for stopping by, your comments always make my day!! And, if you have not signed up as a follower in blogger on the right side of my blog, would you please? I love to see who stops by and then I can come and visit YOU!!!! :-)  See you tomorrow!!!
