STAMP SOMETHING - SKETCH SOMETHING

Happy Friday all!!! WHOOHOO - school is done for the summer!!! Yesterday was the last day so no driving to school this morning, just lazing around in my pjs :-) And, today is the Stamp Something Challenge which is one of the highlights of my week! This week's challenge is a sketch challenge and it is a fabulous sketch!! And, we are being sponsored by DogGonestamps, and let me tell you, they have some uber cute stamps like the wizard one I used for my card today. He was soooo much fun to color AND I got to try out my new sparkly fluff that I got from OCL - I used the white on his beard, and the red on the linings of his cloak(click on the pic to see the detail). And, of course no wizard should be without a wand that works so I added some Iridescent Ice to make sure he had some zing to it - LOL! Please go over to the Stamp Something site and check out the rest of the fun cards the DT gals put together for this challenge, they are fabulous!! And, why not play along with the sketch? Just make sure you upload your link to the post so we can all check it out and you get entered in to win something amazing from our sponsor!! I will leave you the recipe as I am off to do a few errands and then hopefully spend the afternoon scrapbooking as I have quite a few layouts spinning around in my head right now that I need to get down on paper!! Have a wonderful weekend all, and thanks so much for stopping by - I will back tomorrow to share something fun!

IT"S A DAD CARD!

Hi all!! Well, I had a fabulously successful shoe shopping day and got everything I was looking for and more! I love buying shoes, no worries about your feet having gained weight, lol!!! Today I want to share a dads day card that I made for the Paper Popsicles card challenge this week. This one will go to my father in-law, he will get a kick out of it!! Not to much frill on this one, he is definitely not the ribbon and flowers type, lol!! So, I kept it pretty simple but I still like the way it turned out! The stamp set I used is called And Many Mower out of the Occasions mini and I just love it for guy cards! This set is only available until the end of the month so if it is on your wish list, you better get it ordered!! I did do the inside of this one too since the challenge called for it AND since it is going to my FIL - don't want to give him a naked card *wink* Here is what the inside looks like! I got to use my new punch from the new catty called the Modern Label Punch - I am soooo excited about this new catty, and my wish list is pages long already!! Isn't this a great punch - I can tell I will be using it alot!! Well, I was supposed to do the grocery shopping yesterday but played instead so I am off to do that this morning - heehee!! And, then some laundry and hopefully and afternoon of scrappin' and stampin' - I am trying to fit lots in before my first day of work on Monday as I am sure I will be tired that first week and so I am trying to work ahead!! Enjoy your day - I will be checking out everyone's blogs this afternoon - thanks for stopping by!

TEAPOT TUESDAY - JUST US CHICKENS!!

Happy Hump day all!! I suppose this will mean a lot more to me starting next week when I am actually back at work - LOL! Today I am going to share my Teapot Tuesday challenge card, I just loved the teapot Cindy had for us this week!! Check this out, isn't it cute?? I love the colors, and it's fun shape. And, it gave me a good excuse to use this hostess set that I have had for awhile and never inked up - horrible, I know!! And, I really really like it too!! I wanted to make a fun card for no particular reason, just one to have on hand to send out to a friend and "chicken" to see how she is doing *wink* I hand wrote that sentiment, it does not come with this set, but I couldn't resist, it was just too perfect, heehee!! If you want to play along, all you have to do is check out Cindy's post here for all the details - all challenge cards are uploaded to SCS and then we can all check them out!! I sure would love to see some of you play along and join the tea party, it's a fun challenge!! Here is the recipe for this one, I am off to go grocery shopping and then some more shoe shopping as I did not find what I was looking for yet!! Getting ready to go back to work is work in itself - LOL! Have a fabulous day, my friends and thanks so much for stopping by to visit, it means a lot!

CUPCAKES ANYONE?

AHA!! I knew that would get your attention - LOL! I have been making a lot of birthday cards lately because it seems there are tons of them during the summer months!! So, I got out my really fun set from Our Craft Lounge called Life is Sweet and made this cupcake card since the gal I am giving this to is a nut for cupcakes!! I actually stamped them all out, then used some liquid applique on them to make the frosting, colored them, then popped them up on dimensionals!! The little stamp in the middle with the sentiment is whipped cream and a cherry - isn't it cute?? I had a lot of fun making this card, and I hope she likes it because she is a special person!! I will leave you with the recipe as I am off today to go shoe shopping for all my new outfits....can you believe I start work on Monday??!!! Ack!! I am not ready!!!! I am getting more nervous by the day, but I know once I start, it will be fine!!! Have a great day everyone and thanks so much for stopping by, I appreciate YOU!!!
