A SPRINGY BIRTHDAY CARD

Hi all!! I hope everyone is having a fabulous week - I have been very busy stamping away so I say that counts as fabulous, LOL!!!  I wanted to share a birthday card I recently made for a friend, it's got her fave colors of green and yellow and it turned our very springy!!! She loved it, which made me happy!!! I used a new set from the Occasions Mini Catty called Messages for Mom and I love all the different things you can do with this!!! The Patterned Paper is also from the Occasions Mini and is called Shades of Spring - absolutely gorgeous paper, the pic in the book does NOT do it justice!! I had lots of fun with the main image:  I first stamped it in Black Craft Ink, heat embossed it with clear powder, colored it in with my SU! markers, covered it in Versamark, then embossed it again with Iridescent Ice powder.  Whew!! Lots of steps but well worth it since it came out sooooo sparkly!!

Here is a close-up of the image so you can see!  Now, I am off to the post office to mail off some swaps and then it's back to the stamp room to prep for my workshop!!! I love my job - does everyone have this much fun at work??  I think not *wink*  Have a wonderful day all and thanks so much for stopping by, your comments mean a lot to me!!!

A LITTLE SNEAK PEEK!

Hi all!  Yesterday just flew by and of course I only got half of what I had on my list to do done so I will be working on finishing it today along with the today list of things to do, lol!!  I am wondering how I ever had time to work outside my house...seems like there are not enough hours in the day!  Today I am going to tease you a little and not show you a whole project, but just the front!!! You see, this is the cover of the vintage mini book I will be teaching later on this month and since they are paying for the class, I won't share until after it's all done!  But, I did want to give you a taste because this baby is PURDY!!!  (yeah, I know, I am braggin' and I shouldn't, but it really really is!!!) In fact, I am very excited with how this turned out, it just makes me grin!!!  I actually took this book to a workhop I did over the weekend and they all loved it so much that nine of them signed up already!!  So, I will be doing two of these classes to allow for others to sign up!! If you are interested in taking this class locally, here are the details:
DATE:  March 21st and March 28th
TIME: 2-5pm
LOCATION: My stamp room!
COST: $35
You will get all the materials to make the whole book, chipboard and all!  All you need to provide is your adhesive.  Are you interested in having one of these for your very own but cannot make it to my class?  I will have this available as a kit all cut and prestamped with easy assembly instructions.  Cost of Kit is $45.  Contact me via email for more details!

Thanks for indulging me and letting me tease you a bit, I just really wanted to share!!! I love that you all stop by, your comments make me smile!! Have a fabulous day all, and I will be back tomorrow with another fun project to share!

STAMPIN' CONNECTIN SKETCH CHALLENGE SIX

Happy Monday All!! WOW! I sure had a busy weekend with lots of stampin' events going on, but it was fun!! I mean, I stamped all weekend long with other ladies who like to stamp, what more could I ask for, right, LOL?!  But, I have to say, I am tired as there were lots of late nights and early mornings getting ready as tend to leave some things until the last minute *wink*  But, it is MY turn to host the sketch this week over at Stampin' Connection so I thought I would share with you all today. I used my Simply Scrappin' Guest Book Scraps that I had left over from one of the classes I did this weekend to make my sketch card because I am in love with the papers in this scrappin' kit!!! I just love the colors and the designs!!! And, I think it makes any project you do turn out so elegant.  Pair it with some taffeta ribbon, Swiss dots dry embossing, and the Big Shot Butterfly die cut, and done!
So, here is the sketch I designed for this week's challenge - yes, I know I changed up my own sketch a bit, I tend to do this a lot, LOL!! But, the basic elements are still there, I just added a layer!  Feel free to play along and if you are a demonstrator, make sure you go over to the site and upload your take on it so we can all see!!!  Now, I am off to take care of some paperwork (uggghhh.....) and then get ready for another workhop.  Thanks for stopping by, I really love it when you do!!!
