WHAT'S COOKIN??? SCRAPBOOK SATURDAY

Hi all - hope you are having a wonderful weekend!! I am in Florida now and enjoying time with my BFF Vicki - and we are leaving tomorrow on our cruise, whoohoo!!!! I am soooooo excited, today we are going to hit all my favorite scrapbook stores in the area buying up those last minute have to haves *wink* because, well, you know I have NOTHING in my scrap room - heeheehee!!!! So, today I have a scrapbook page to share with you that I made using the absolutely fabulous October Kit from Coconut Scrapshop!! Man, did Jen ever outdo herself this month - I am lovin' it and have made so many pages already with this phenomenal kit!! This layout is a fun one that I made to show my daughter and her love of cooking. This is from Thanksgiving two years ago (I know, I am behind!) when she asked if she could make the dessert and I said yes. She made a pumpkin cheesecake by herself just following my recipe - it is so much fun to watch her enjoyment when she is in the kitchen!! I honestly think she may grow up to be a chef! The pics show her in the stages of pie making - stirring all her ingredients, licking the spoon, pouring the batter (not with the same spoon, lol!) into the crust, and then the finished pie - doesn't it look yummy?? It sure tasted good!! And, don't you just love the papers and little embellies included with this kit? You can have your own - just pop over to the Coconut Scrapshop and order yours!! There are TONS of stuff in this kit - you will NOT be disappointed!! Well, time to go shopping so I am off!! Enjoy your weekend and I will post some pics of the cruise when I get back - although you DO want to tune in tomorrow because I have a fun post for you all ready to go!!! Until then!!!!!

A LITTLE CHRISTMAS BLING

Happy Monday all!!! What a busy weekend - trying to get everything ready because I am leaving on Friday- whoohoo!!! Off to Florida to spend time with friends, go on a fabulous scrapbook cruise, and get away from reality for awhile! I need it more than I could ever tell ya!!! But, I will be posting everyday while I am gone (I know, I am crazy, but it's done already, lol!) and there will be something cool going on for those of you who leave me comments while I am gone so make sure you check back for more details later this week! So, on to the card! Over the weekend, my SBS9 sistah Wendy hosted a challenge on her blog to create a holiday card with bling on it! (she actually hosted two, I will post the other one tomorrow!) Well, this kind of challenge is right up my alley - I mean, bling??!!! Looooovvvvvveeee it!!! I will tell ya, I decided to use my Cinnamon stickles so that is the one thing on this card that is not Su! So, I decided on Christmas as my holiday since I can make some for the upcoming season to send out and get somewhat of a head start! I used my Snow Swirl set for this card and I have to say, it is probably one of my favorite Christmas sets that Stampin' Up! has ever come out with - I just love all the swirls, and how pretty the stamps are. I really enjoyed making this card so thanks Wendy for the awesome challenge!! I will leave you with the recipe - I am off to keep organizing my scrap stuff for my trip - toodles!
Card Recipe:
Paper - Always Artichoke, Chocolate Chip, Real Red, Old Olive card stock, Holiday Treasures Designer Series Paper

Stamps - Snow Swirled
Accessories - Scallop Edge Punch, Vintage Brads, Scallop Circle Punch, Circle Punch, Stampin' Dimensionals, Ticket Corner Punch, Mat Stack and Paper Piercer, Key Tag Punch, Real Red narrow grosgrain ribbon, Fire Rhinestone brad (red)

SCRAPBOOK SATURDAY MOVED TO SCRAPBOOK SUNDAY - LOL!

Hi all!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend so far - it is cold and rainy here, but I don't mind, that just gives me an excuse to hang out in my stamp room - lol! So, I finally can get back to Scrapbook Saturdays with this sample I made for my upcoming Scrapbooking on Canvas class. (POSTED ON SUNDAY THIS WEEK BECAUSE OF WCMD)This is not the actual one they will make but it is similar - this one is more for my home decor and has a proud place in my family room! These are pictures I took of the my three kids right before Zach went back to school - I love seeing my kids all together with smiles on their faces! These are some of my favorite ones so I want to display them. I also got to play with my BigShot dies for the leaves - I totally love that machine!!! I stamped the paper with the Sanded Background stamp before cutting them out so they really do look like leaves (click on the picture for a better view)And, of course, no project would be complete without some stampin' going on so you will see that I stamped on the canvas itself and then the Chipboard letters as well. All in all, I am very happy with how this came out and will be doing a few more so that I can hang a grouping on a very large wall that needs some personalization. There are some elements to this project that are not Stampin' Up! as they don't carry them - they are the paints, which are acrylic and a mixture of three different colors, the Mod Podge, which I used to seal the project, and the canvas itself. Everything else is though!! I will leave you with the recipe - I am off to pick out my papers and pictures to take on my trip - this will require some planning since you now have to sell your firstborn in order to take luggage on the airplane and I am trying to keep mine to a minimum - but gosh, I have to take some things, it IS a scrapbook cruise, lol! So, I will be busy doing that most of the day but will be back tomorrow with another class project to share! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
