BIRDS AND BUTTERFLIES - A SSS CHALLENGE

Happy Saturday all!!! WHOOHOO for the weekend, LOL!!! I am appreciating this one a lot!! And, it's time for a Scrap and Stamp Saturday(SSS) challenge so that makes for a double WHOOHOO!! I want to say that Melissa and I were THRILLED with the turnout for the last challenge - all the entries were AMAZING!!! Thanks to all who played along and we hope you will come back this week and play along again!! The challenge this week is Birds and Butterflies - make a layout about the outdoors! Our sponsor this week is Courtney of Sweet and Sassy Stamps - Courtney was sweet enough to let the DT gals play with her really cute digi images from her stamp set called A Bug's Life, and you can see samples of them on the layouts we all did! I used the butterflies and the dragonflies, they are just totally adorable! And, if you play along this week, you have a chance to win your very own stamp as Courtney will let the winner have their choice of what they want!!! Pretty cool, huh?! On my layout (which I am not totally happy with) I used the pics I took of Bella playing in our garden - she loves the flowers!! Such a funny little puppy, she loves to roll around in the flowers and will even nap there if we let her, lol!! So, make sure you get on over to the SSS site and check out the AMAZING layouts the other DT gals did - I swear, they are the most talented group of scrappers, they just ROCKED it!!! And, have a go at it yourself and upload the link to Mr. Linky for a chance at one of the cute little stamps!! Have a great weekend and thanks so much for stopping by!!

OKAY, I ADMIT IT....

this week just totally wiped me out!!! WOW!! I have not been home before 8pm and I am sooooo tired.....but it sure felt good to get to sleep past 430am this morning, lol!!! I have to say, I totally LOVE LOVE LOVE the job, and I am glad I have it, but getting back into the groove is kicking my sizeable behinie, heehee!!! This is the only card I stamped all week....sad, I know!!! But, it is for the Stamp Something challenge and it is one of the big highlights of my week, so I am glad I got it done (and thanks to Denise and Erin for being so flexible with me at this time!!) This week's challenge is to color something - make a black and white card with ONE color - any color you want, but just one!! And, we are sponsored by the fabulous Paper Makeup Stamps who was sweet to send us their fun fairy images to play with!!! I just love this one, she was really fun to color and add some bling to on her wings and hair...I mean, every fairy needs fair dust, right??!! Make sure you go over to the Stamp Something site and check out the rest of the images the DT used this week - they ROCKED the challenge big time!!! And, why not play along with the challenge? You can use any image you want, but the prize is something awesome from Paper Makeup so you really don't want to miss out!! Just make sure you upload your link to the site to get a chance!! Now, I am off to blog hop since I have missed out on sooo much this week - that is one thing I really miss is surfing blogs with my morning coffee....but I may end up going in to work thirty minutes early just so I can - LOL!!! It will give me a great start to my mornings *wink* Have a fabulous weekend and thanks for stopping by and all your sweet and encouraging comments about my first workweek - I really appreciate it and they kept me smiling all week long!!!

MY SON

Hi all!! I am extremely busy AND tired with my new job this week - WHEW!! This is a quickie post - I feel bad that I have not had time to come and see you all, but I promise I will catch up this weekend which starts tomorrow afternoon for me - whoohoo!! This layout is of my oldest son - this is his senior picture and I have just now felt that I can emotionally handle doing this page since I feel like a chapter in my life was closed when he graduated and left home! I miss him terribly even now that he has been gone for two years (he will be home at the end of the month for vacation!!!) and even though I am told I will get used to it, I am not sure I will!!! I hope you like it and thanks so much for stopping by!!!

TAYLOR'S SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hi all!! Whew!! I made it through my first day, but boy, was it long!! It has been awhile since I have had to get up at 0430 in the morning so that was a rude awakening, lol!! I got to work at 0630, worked straight through until 7pm last night and got home at 745pm - ugggghhh.....long day!! Not that they were not long before, but I am out of the habit!! And, once I have everything under somewhat of control, I will not have to work so late every night, but I think for the first week or two, it is going to be brutal!! And, I was so tired, I could not even stamp last night, heehee!! Glad I worked ahead this weekend so I have things to share like this card I did for Taylor's sketch challenge this week!! I love this little cuppie, so stinkin' cute!! I used some of my new sparkly fluff for the frosting, and I thought it came out pretty cute! I also cut out the flowers from the dp for my embellies, and added some bling!! Great sketch, I will be using this one again!! OUR CRAFT LOUNGE SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hi all!! I hope you are enjoying your weekend!! Yesterday was a busy day for me - I got my hair highlighted and cut, got a pedicure and my hands done, and ran a few last minute errands to get ready for my first day on Monday - I swear, it feels like my first day of school, lol!!! So, not much stamping got done which is why I had nothing to share yesterday. Today however, I want to share the card I did for the OCL sketch challenge!! I love the sketch and had fun playing along AND I got to use one of my new stamp sets called Life's a Beach - such a fun set!! I had fun with it; notice my little crab is having himself a drink on the beach, LOL?! I wanted to create a nice summery card I can send to a friend just to say hello and so this baby is going into the mail tomorrow.*wink* Today I am spending in my stamp room making some projects to share for the upcoming week and catching up on some scrappin' that I need to do!! And, a reminder - the ScrapandStampSaturday kickoff challenge is still going on until this Friday so if you have not yet had a chance to get your layout done, you still have time! We are THRILLED with the response so far - the pages have all been fabulous, I am really impressed with the mad scrappin' skills of all of the stampers out there!! I will leave you with the recipe as I am off to check out what you are all up to and get my stampin' on!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend - I will be back tomorrow with something to share, but won't be able to blurf until I get off work - ACK!! THAT will take some getting used to!!!
