A CARD FOR A FRIEND

Hi all!!! Well, it's official - I am fighting a horrible sinus infection and I am back on antibiotics AGAIN, uggghhhh!!!! Ya know, I have to say, I really regret going through the very painful sinus surgery I had two years ago because it did not help AT ALL!! Not one thing has changed - if anything, they have gotten worse! Sheesh....I wish they could just remove them altogether, lol!! Sorry for the vent, just needed to get it out there!! On to the card: I made this for a friend who is having some serious medical issues and is feeling down right now because these are long-term issues she has lived with for awhile. So, I using yesterday's sketch challenge on Splitcoast (great sketch!) I made this one for her!! I know how difficult it is to be laid up for a long while - I went stir crazy after one month on the couch!! I just want her to know I am thinking about her!! Even though I complain about my migraines and my sinuses, I do feel pretty lucky because my overall health is very good and I should feel lucky that it is! I am going to send her some images to color and play with - she is a stamper but has been too ill to even do that!! So, I hope I can at least bring a smile to her face!! Today is a day filled with errands and finishing up the laundry. I have lots of stamping to do as well so I am looking forward to an afternoon in my studio if I can keep my head from exploding - LOL! So, I will leave you with the recipe - I am off to blog hop and check out what fabulous things you all have been up to!! Have a great day, thanks for stopping by, and if you have not entered my blog candy, make sure you get in on that!! And, for those of you who are working on DT entries, let me just say that I am excited to be able to see them - I just know they will all be BEAUTIFUL!!!

I am so sorry that I have only now found your site. I have tried a few challenges on the Stamp Something Challenge Blog and today I had decided to actually check out all the DT members blogs, not just comment on them on the challenge blog. What a surprise this journey has been. Your creations are fantastic. I flat out LOVE this card, the whole concept. Just love it. I was reading your profile, way to go for serving our country for so long in the Navy. I was in the USAF, but I took my discharge after 4 years. I was proud everyday to wear my uniform and grateful for everyone that has donned their fatigues before and after me! So, thank you for all your years of service. I am signing up for your blog candy, and I just read about your new Challenge Blog!! I am getting ready to sign off and work my butt off to try to get my submissions in on time!!! What a great opportunity to get in on your blog right from the beginning. Stamping and Scrapbooking, so exciting!! Wishing you well regardless if I make the team or not. I cannot wait to see all that you have in store.
Hugs, Leslie Pershing
