A FINE WINE - STAMPIN' CONNECTION SKETCH CHALLENGE

Hi All! Sorry I have not been around much this last few days, but I have not really felt like myself and have not been stamping....I know, it's serious!  I think I just have so much going on with all the construction, getting ready for Convention, making sure my kids are occupied....it just seems to be a bit much lately.  But, I actually DID stamp last night and managed to complete the sketch challenge for this week which my fellow DT member Liz is hosting! So, if you are a demo, head on over to Stampin' Connection, get the sketch, and let's see what you can do with it!  My card uses the new stamp set Studio Sketches - I am very drawn to this set as it seems very old world European to me, which is my favorite style of all!  My whole house is done in Tuscan colors and design elements so of course this wine bottle is right up my alley, LOL!  I actually used Elegant Eggplant for the base of my card and embossed it with the new folder called Vintage Wallpaper.  I kept the card fairly simple as the sketch was as well, and I am happy with it.  I stamped the main image in Black Stazon and used my blender pen and ink pads to watercolor the image.  The sentiment is from the set Great Friend, and I love the script font so I use it a lot.  My spritzer tool came in handy to give some texture to my image; I used Soft Suede so I would not overwhelm the other colors.  I hope you like it - thanks so much for stopping by, I really love that you do! Today I am off to the thrift stores to pull my Flower Power costume together for Convention - I really have NO idea what to do, but I have got to get it done since I leave on Tuesday, lol!!! Have a wonderful day and Happy Stamping!!

Great card, Alex. You're not supposed to feel harried in the summer. Try to take it easy.
