A LITTLE BIT O' SHIMMER

Happy Monday all!!! Well, I wish I could say the weekend was fabulous, but I was sick on Saturday and ended up being in bed the majority of the day - so yesterday was all I really had! Now, back to work today...ugghhhh......oh well, at least I got to hang out with a couple of my stampin' friends yesterday afternoon!!! So, tonight I am teaching a Santa in September class and I thought I would share one of the cards we are going to be doing. It is with one of my fave sets called Snow Swirled because I love the tree. Although, I have decided to rename the tree the shimmer tree for this card because I added some of the fabulous new shimmer paint!! I used the champagne one and I just love how it turned out!! The tree really shimmers IRL, especially in the light! (click on the image to see up close). The sentiment is from the Hostess Level II set called Christmas Punch - I love this set because every single stamp fits one of our punches!! This one fits the wide oval punch, which is one of my favorites for sentiments. And, I added a small piece of Old Artichoke ribbon as well! It's a pretty simple card because some of the others are quite detailed and well, we can't be there all night, LOL!!! Now, off to work and then off to stamp - what a way to start the week!!! I hope you all have a fabulous day - thanks soooo much for stoppin' by....I love reading all your comments, they make my day!

Ah, what a bummer that you spent Saturday sick. At least you recovered to do some stamping on Sunday!

I love this shimmer tree! I need to open mine up and use it.

Sorry you had to spend Sat in bed sick - hate it when that happens! Sounds (and looks) like you're feeling better though - love that shimmery tree! I pulled this set out the other day and now you've inspired me to play with it a bit. ~chris

Girl you have been BUSY!! I hope you are feeling better. I just had my third dental surgery and lost my zeal there for a bit myself. LOL It's hard to stay motivated when all you really want to do is curl up in a ball and sleep!

I LOVE This card - the swirly tree is so pretty by itself but adding the shimmer is awesome. From the small picture is looks 3D (like you embossed) - very cool!
