Happy, Happy Birthday! Hope you have a wonderful day today!!! My fondest birthday memory was when I turned 16. I got my license that day and then had some of my girlfriends over for dinner and then we got to go to a dance club (they had some 18 and under dance clubs in our area). It was a big deal!!

You know, I have thought and thought, but I can't pick just one! My family always made a big deal out of birthdays. Not spending a lot of money, but making a big deal of YOU. I have always felt special on my birthday and I know that as we have grown Mom and Dad still make a big effort to get everybody together for you birthday dinner, no small feat in this busy world.

My fondest birthday memory was a few years ago when my husband took me to Traverse City. We went to a neat restaurant and I ordered almost the most expensive thing on the menu and when the waiter found out it was my birthday, said the meal was free.

Have a happy b-day!!

My happiest b-day was when I turned 20. I was living/working at disney world and my roomies and i were broke. so they chipped in and bought a tube of cookie dough and made letter shaped cookies in my name instead of a cake. Its one of those days that you look back on and actually start feeling happier. great candy pick me!!:)

Every year my mom let the birthday girl or boy pick what we would eat for dinner that night. I would ALWAYS pick spaghetti and meatballs because my mom said meatballs were too much trouble to make so we never had them. Then whoever's birthday it was got to cut their cake and eat it with the flavor of ice cream they had picked out (not just vanille, you could ask for a special kind like banana split or turtle!) One year my dad brought me an ice cream pizza from the ice cream shop because I had had such good grades that year!

The best one I cannot remember but the one I remember is in 2004 when my daughter was only 10 days old and my husband had prepared a great super and invited friends and all even if we were barley used to have a newborn in the house! This was really cool of him.

WOW What GENEROUS blog candy! I almost feel guilty entering because I won the last one...well I guess I don't feel too bad cause it looks like this is my entry! LOl Well my favorite birthday memory is when I turned 16. My hubby (at the time he was my NEW boyfriend) worked at a resturant in our local town as a bus boy and asked the owner if he could have the banquet room reserved just for us and decorated it all with streamers and balloons and had a gas fire going in the fire place that was there and served me a candlelit dinner. I was so impresseed...specially at such a young age! He defintely won my heart that night and I've been with him ever since!!!! Thanks for the chance Alex!!! {SMILES}

Happy birthday! Is it coming up or did you just have it? A fond memory would my 40th suprise birthday party! I had never been given a surprise anything! It all went off without a hitch and it was wonderful! Hugs, Deb

That's an easy question. When I turned 50 (and was not feeling very happy about it) my husband and children threw me a surprise party (never had one before or since) and I was so shocked and pleased! Wow what a surprise.
Count me in on that great blog candy.

Happy Birthday to You! My fondest birthday memory is when I turned 7. I had seen a stuffed dog in the store and begged my mother for it. She said no, can't afford it. But then, guess what was in the last present I opened on my birthday? Yes, the dog, which I still have today! Thanks for sharing :)

Fun stuff. Happy birthday. My DD tried to do a surprise party for my 50th, not realizing I already had plans for that particular day. She ended up having to tell me, so I'd be there for my own party. Of course, my kids were thrilled that they could tell people I was a half century old.

Happy Birthday to you. Actually at this age, my favorite bday is the one I just had--I made it another year--LOL. And last years was actually special as a very good on-line friend drove down to Chicago from MN to surprise me for my bday. What fun we had. darlene

When I was 4, my grandmother made the four girls denim sun dresses for my birthday. She made a cake and it said my name in BIG frosting letters. I remember being able to read it aloud and my aunt said, "She is going to be the smartest girl when she grows up! She can read!"

I've always remembered that day!
What a great reason for blog candy!
Happy birthday!!

Hi Alex!
My fondest birthday memory was my surprise birthday party at work. I was in a excellent area and everybody got along with each other. That was a magical time for me and the memories are priceless. I forgot to mention that I turned 35 that year.

Hi Alex! What wonderful goodies you have up for grabs!! My favorite b-day was when I turned 21..on Thanksgiving Day. I wanted to go downtown to the bars, since I was finally of legal drinking age. When I got there, I realized that all the bars were closed due to Thanksgiving....except one bar was open. I went inside and found that it was a biker bar!!! I realized that I didn't need a drink that bad and went home!!
Thanks!

Oh my gosh!!! I don't normally post for blog candy as I am just so grateful to have a "friend" like you online and to learn from you and see your great work BUT....that duck stamp is just the cutest thing EVER!!! I'm totally picturing a scrapbook page with Nathan and his little duck....OK, so HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! A favourite birthday memory....I can remember as a child getting to either have a birthday party with friends or go out for dinner at a restaurant of our choice. I remember picking Mother Tuckers and I can still remember how the pizza tasted, what the lighting was like and just feeling so loved and lucky to be surrounded by my family.

Have a great night!

Wishing you oodles of Birthday Blessings:) My fondest birthday memories are those when I was a young girl around 7 yrs. I remember standing in our living room window waiting for all of my relatives to show up for my party. I loved all of them so much, and at that age everyone was still alive and eager to share my big day with me. What happy memories!

My favorite birthday was when I turned 50! It was one of those milestones I was dreading, so I decided to meet it head on.

I celebrated for an entire year starting at 49 by buying a car. The culmination of the year long celebration was my birthday party onboard a cruise ship as we left Barcelona heading for Monaco.

What a year!

My best birthday memory was my 20th. It was a surprise, my boyfriend reserved a birthday dinner in my favorite restaurant. He came with a big bundle of flowers to our house and took me out to dinner.

That's pretty generous of you to give away blog candy in honor of your birthday Alex! My best birthday memory is one when my boyfriend(now dh)took me out to dinner at a nice restaurant and then surprised me with a trip around the cities in a limo. We picked up my sister and her husband to ride with us. He spoils me!

Happy Birthday Alex - even if it is a bit belated ! ! ! Loved all your "Blog" entries about the day.
My favourite birthday I would say, was the one when I got my first "Happy Birthday Mummy" card. Has sooooo many memories but made realise how priviledged I ws to have a child of my own. I still have the card today safely boxed and wrapped !

Happy Belated Birthday! My favorite memories are every year on my birthday the kids in my class always seem to do something special for me and it is soooo much fun. They seem to be more excited about my birthday than I am. I guess it's more exciting when you are 7 than when you are 40something! It looks like you had a great one!

Ooooh hard question!
I can usually guess what my hubby has got me for my birthday, but one year he completely "got" me - he laid a treausre hunt around our house and garden with various clues - each had a letter written on the back, the last clue said my present was an anagram of the letters on the clues. The only word I could make from the letters was RHODES - I was totally dumbstruck when he said that was right and our plane was at 6pm that day!

Wow, what fab candy. One of my favourite birhday memories is when I was 8. It often snows on my birthday and this particular one it snowed badly and the school closed for the day, I remember having a fun day at home with some friends. x
