MERCY'S SKETCH CHALLENGE - LOVEBIRDS

Hi all!! WOW!!! This weekend was soooo busy with Kayla's birthday event (it is always waaayy more than just a day, LOL!) kept me running around like a crazy woman!! She took all her friends to a place called Sky High which is a trampoline party place where they jumped for over two hours, had a pizza party, cake, presents, then back in the car for the two hour drive home! Once there, it was get dinner prepped while they karaoked in the family room on the Wii! They went non-stop until the wee hours of Sunday morning. Then, up for a pancake breakfast and they all left around noon on Sunday, whew!!!! So, I spent the rest of Sunday recovering and managed to finally get some stampin in this afternoon!! She had a ball, but I am very glad that birthdays only come once a year, LOL!!! So, this is the card I did for Mercy's Sketch Challenge this week - I got it done in the nick of time *wink*. I really liked the sketch but had a much harder time with it than I thought I would. I really wanted to use my new birdie punch so I built the rest of the card from that. It took me longer than usual, but I do like the way it turned out! The punch is a lot of fun and I see some fun scrappy pages in my future with this one!! Now, I am off to bed to get ready for work tomorrow and I am all off schedule with my posts but will have a new card posted on Wednesday since it is soooo late for this one, heeeheee!!! Love you all and thanks for stopping by!!! Smooches!!

MFTS SKETCH -WHOOOO'S YOUR VALENTINE

Heehee, I love that saying!!! Here it is, Tuesday already, I am hoping the whole week goes by this fast since I have Friday off and Monday is a holiday - yep, I get a four day weekend!! Now, before you start hating me, remember that I have to take furlough days meaning I don't get paid for these days off...I am just trying to see the bright side of things :-) This card is based on another sketch site I just recently discovered called Mercy's Sketch Challenge - looked like fun, so I played along! I thought the sketch was really easy to play with and since I wanted to use my new set that I just got in the mail on Saturday, it became another Valentines Day card, LOL!! I wonder what I will do with them all.....I only have one Valentine :-) The set is called Whoo's Your Valentine and I am in love with this cute little owl!!! I stamped him in both red and black to match the rest of the card and I just think he is adorable!! I also played with my new punch called Pinking Hearts border punch - love this punch!!! And, I could not resist adding one of my new Sending Love Epoxy brads, they are just soooo cute!!! So, there you have it - another sketch challenge completed!! Now, off to work I go - gotta earn money for my next stamp order, LOL!! Thanks for stopping by and make sure you pop back in tomorrow to see my Hostess gifty I made for my upcoming workshop! Toodles!

SWEET SUNDAY SKETCH - HUGS AND KISSES

Happy Monday all!!! Well, my vacay is over so it is back to reality for me, LOL!! I am sure it will be a shock to my system since I have been off the last three weeks! I spent all day yesterday stamping and scrappin' and had such a good time in my new craft room. I love that I know where everything is and I have a place to put everything back - it makes a huge difference since I can clean as I go and it looks as good now as it did before I started!! Makes me motivated to stamp!!! So, I am trying out some new challenges and this one is called the Sweet Sunday Sketch. I liked the sketch and that it is on the weekend so I am thinking I might be a regular :-) I used the Love You Much set for my main image, embossed it with Iridescent Ice, punched it out, and popped it up! The bottom layer is embossed using my Sizzix folder Petals-a-Plenty which I love. I highlighted it with my white gel pen, then added some black satin ribbon. A pretty simple card, but a fun sketch to play with. Now, off to court then work....gotta go see if this is the day the builder is FINALLY going to settle on the lawsuit for our house....wish us luck!!!! Thanks for stopping by and stop by tomorrow, I have another sketch card to share!

SCS SKETCH 162 - FOR A FRIEND

Good morning all! I finally had some time to play along with the SCS card sketch this week - I really enjoy doing them so I am going to try and do them every week. I also used some of my new goodies from the upcoming Occasions Mini - pure YUM, I am tellin' ya!!! The stamp set I used is called Vintage Vogue and I LOVE it!! Such pretty images AND there is a matching wheel which of course I had to have *giggle*. And, of course the beautiful bling DSP called Sending Love - every sheet has gorgeous sparkly stuff on it, who can resist? Not I, which is why mine is all gone and I am awaiting more....I also did some stitching on this one and added a touch of glitter to my flowery swirl. I topped it off with some of the new satin ribbon and the cute epoxy brads and there you have it! LOVED the sketch and I am so glad I had time to do it. Now, I am off to blog hop and stamp some more as I think I have found my groove and don't want to lose it! I hope you all have a wonderful rest of the weekend and thanks for stopping by!

IT'S A NEW YEAR!!!

Happy 2010 everyone!! I have been enjoying my time off with my family so that is why I have not posted in awhile....but now, I am back in the stamping frame of mind, lol! My oldest son is still home from college but will leave on Friday morning so tomorrow we are going to spend the whole day together doing fun things! I am even going to keep the two younger ones out of school....wish Tony could hang out with us but he is already back up in Susanville working. So, since the kiddos were occupied with the new Wii I took some time to play with my new goodies from the mini catty that is available to customers on February 1st. It is packed full of yummy goodness - new paper, stamps, brads, ribbon, and yep, new punches, my FAVE!!! And, ya know it's Sale-A-Bration time again, right??!! That means FREE STAMPS, YIPPEE!!!! I love this time of year at SU!!!! So, here is my card for today - I used the Mojo Monday sketch this week that Julee did, just love it. And, all the products are from the new mini, which I adore! I even ordered my new stamps in the unmounted sets to try them out and I love them!! And, they cost less too.......can't say that is a bad thing *wink*. I really like them, and like even more that there is a whole set of clear blocks that go with them. So, now I am off to get ready for a day of shopping, eating, and hanging out with my kiddos - life is GOOD! Thanks so much for stopping by, cannot wait to see what all of you have been creating so I have a date with my reader tomorrow after the airport. See ya then!

WHEW! WHAT A WEEK!!!

WOW!!! This has been some week, I tell ya!!! Working, shopping, baking, wrapping - it's enough to make ya tired!!! And, this last week at work has been pure misery, since nothing seemed to go right at all!! I am soooooo happy that today is my last day until the 11th of January - WHOOOHOO!!!! I am really looking forward to a nice break!!! I wanted to take time out this morning and share with you two more of my Christmas cards for this year. I used last week's Mojo Monday sketch for this first one, and I love the sketch so I have used it for a couple others I will share with you tomorrow. I love the way this turned out - the Bravo Burgundy scalloped circles look so elegant paired with this gorgeous Christmas Cocoa specialty paper! And, of course you can't go wrong with Whisper White satin ribbon. The stamp set I used for this one is called Patterned Pines and it is a Hostess Set available only until the 31st of this month since it is in the mini. I love it!! This second card is one of the main cards I did this year and sent out - I usually have five or six designs and do a few of each so I don't get bored, lol! I used the Delightful Decorations stamp set with the matching punch, and I have a feeling this will be a favorite in MY house for many Christmases to come as I just love how much you can do with it! I cut out the DSP using my Big Shot Top Note Die and sponged the card stock with Creamy Caramel. The ornaments are stamped in versamark, then heat embossed using gold embossing powder - it turned out FABULOUS!!! I added some Whisper White Taffeta ribbon and topped the ornaments with some gold cord. I love this card, I have to say, I think it looks elegant and makes me smile! I have only two more Christmas cards to share with you before Christmas so that worked out well as I won't be stamping any more this year. I will share those over the next couple of days. So, now I am off to work, hoping that the day will go by VERY fast so that I can get home and get started on my vacation! Zach comes home on Saturday so good times this weekend!! THANKS sooooo much for stopping by, I love ya for it!!!!!
