JUST CHECKING IN

Hi all! I wanted to pop in and thank all of you for your kind and encouraging words. Things are really tough right now emotionally so I am taking the time I need with my children to heal.  We are taking it one day at a time, and I am hopeful that in time, things will feel happy around here again. I appreciate the cards, letters, and emails from all of you, and please know that they indeed do help to make me feel less alone! I love you all and hope to be creating again very soon!

Thanks for the update Alex. Be strong for your kids. I was a mess when that happened to me and even quit my business for awhile. Keep praying as God will pull you through! Hugs,Bev

Hi Alex - I'm also in Northern CA and other than occasionally visiting your blog, don't know you. My Step-daughter went to court Friday and her divorce is finally Final, after two long years. In the beginning she was a mess and I reminded her of what Christopher Robin said to Pooh, "You're braver than you believe, and stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think." I think this is such a good thing for all of us to remember in the toughest of times. The other thing is that I encouraged her to see a good counselor. You can only control your own actions and reactions and trying to be the brave one all the time for your children is exhausting. Having someone to talk to who does not have an emotional stake in what you do and say is so helpful. Go easy on yourself. God bless you. Sandy
