A CARD FOR A FRIEND

Hi all!! Sorry for the disappearing act, but we went without electricity for a few days due to the fires here in CA....my neighbors house over on the mountain next to ours (about a mile away) burnt to the ground because their neighbor was careless with his power tools!! It is heartbreaking because there is NOTHING left!! And, it took out the power here so I have been without!!! I wanted to share a card that I made with no stamping *gasp* I know, it's crazy!!! I trimmed some of the beautiful papers, popped them up on dimensionals, added a rub-on and voila! all done!!! It is going in the mail tomorrow to a very dear friend whose son just deployed to Iraq - she is very sad, and almost like a sister to me, so I want to send her some love!! I have to work really late tonight to give a presentation to the night shift workers at the University so I hope to catch up on my blogging tomorrow and see what you all have been up to - I need my creative fix!!! Thanks for stopping by - I appreciate you!!!!

Oh no Alex, I'm sorry to hear about your neighbours loss! That's a horrible tragedy.

Your card is great! Sometimes the no stamping cards are the best!

Yep, giving up my demoship :( I don't do many workshops anymore and have been mostly a hobby demo for sometime. Now I'll just order from others when I want stuff...lol
What about you?

oh my..I've been so wrapped up in my own drama that I didn't really think about where you live...and that the fires in CA are so awful...to me you live in my computer Alex (lol) and are safe and sound...so I hope all is well with you and you remain so...hopefully I can get my head outta my butt and be more attentive...after all you're the only sistah I have had the pleasure of meeting (so far!! I might add!!) and I wanna keep you!!

by the way...love the card...even without {gasp} stamping!! LOL

Oh gosh Alex, you're neighbours must be devestated . . I don't know what I'd do if that happened to us.

Love your card & how you have cleverly layered the papers.
