FRIENDSHIP FRAME

Hi all!! Whew!! I am recovering from one very busy weekend! I had a workshop on Saturday and a class yesterday so I was very busy prepping, teaching, stamping, and well, okay, having fun - lol!!! Although I have to say, I am still recovering, so I am very tired and will try and get some rest today before my final workshop of the month tomorrow! As a reminder: for those of you who like free stuff (let's face it, we ALL do! Sale-A-Bration ends tomorrow so if you were thinking of getting free stuff from the SAB catty, make sure you do it today or tomorrow because after that it will be too late! Contact me if you want to place an order and I will take care of it right away!! Now, back to the task at hand! My workshop on Saturday was actually for one of my long-time customers who wanted to have a birthday workshop for her birthday - she loves to stamp, is very creative, and I was excited that she wanted me to be a part of it all. So, I made a rather special project for her workshop - she had all her closest friends there and so I thought it might be nice to celebrate their friendship. I found these cute 5x5 wooden frames at Dollar Tree and gave everyone their own. The inside is a 5x5 home decor item celebrating their friendship....I used my hostess' favorite colors and she absolutely loved it!! Sorry for the closeup - it was the only way I could get a good shot of this last night since I did not get home until late from teaching my calendar class! Anyway, I took the frame and painted it with white acrylic paint, then sanded it down with my sanding block once it was dry to give it more of a distressed look. I was pretty happy with how it turned out - some of the gals actually stamped the bird but left the spot blank for a picture, which I thought was a great idea!! So, this project was a big hit and she was thrilled...that was all that counted to me!!! We also did some birthday cards which I will share with you tomorrow!! Right now, I am off to cut paper for my workshop tomorrow and have lunch with my husband - whooohooo!!! Thanks so much for stopping by to see me, I appreciate that you do!! See ya tomorrow!
