THIS WOULD BE THE REASON....

I have nothing creative to share!! Meet Bella, our rescue puppy. She is a mini daschund, which we have two of already, although she will be much smaller than them! She currently weighs a mean 1 1/2 pounds - LOL! The vet says she does not expect her to get any bigger than about 5-6 pounds so she will be tiny. She is a rescue dog....seems she has a fracture in her left jaw that is very painful and made it difficult for her to eat. I say made because since I took her to the vet, had her put under, and they readjusted her AND gave her pain meds, she is doing really really well! She is now eating some soft foods, and is just a gentle and loving little thing!!! I want to go and step on the head of the lady who did this to her, but Tony won't let me!!! She is only seven weeks old....and yes, I am very sleep deprived! I must be crazy getting another dog, but hey, at least now I know she has a good home and will be safe and happy!! And, I mean, look at that face, could you resist?! She was definitely not something I planned for, but here she is and she is now a member of our family. Although, introducing her to the other dogs is a very slow process under the vets directions. So far so good, although my male and female doxie still don't know what to make of her. Here is a pic of her and Clyde under my very close and watchful eye. He has been pretty good, but has bared his teeth at her a couple of times. Tony is totally in love with her! Me too, and the kiddos went to the vet with me where we sat for five house while they figured out what was wrong with her and how to fix her! So, it has been an emotional couple of days, but I think she will make it! Here is a pic of her when sleeping - this is her favorite place on me to curl up although usually she has her nose in my ear - LOL! She also loves to lay on my chest. I just love her! I will be back on Monday with something creative to share - I hope all of you have a wonderful weekend!

Bless Bella's little heart. I can tell she doesn't feel well just from the picture. My sister rescued many..which stay outside but the runt almost died and had to be brought in and has special care. Packer ( his name ) sleeps in the exact place as Bella. I think they must feel close to their mother in that spot. Keep us updated on her condition. She is adorable.

Alex Bella is so beautiful, i want her! I cant believe anyone would want to hurt any animal or any person, but look at hereven if one was a bully she would melt the hardest of hearts. If tony wont let you go kick butt ill go and have words. I cant stand violence especially to those who are so defenseless such as animals and children. But i think your family are wonderful for being able to provide her with the loving home she so desperately needs.I hope she gets stronger and starts to eat more, she is a sight for sore eyes! xx

I would come and stamp on that awful women's head with you how can people be so cruel. I bet you any money as tiny as she is she will end up being the boss!! Good luck and many years of happiness. Sue :o)

Oh my goodness, Alex! She is adorable! I will go with you to kick some butt, because anyone that would hurt a dog deserves to have their butt kicked. Geez, that makes me angry!

You spend all of the time that you need with that sweetheart! How lucky for her that you found her and brought her home. CUTE!

The puppy is a cutie...... I don't know how any person could hurt an animal... but then again, how and why do humans hurt other humans????

Good luck with your baby

OMG she is the cutest little thing! How horrible that someone did that to her. Thankfully she found a loving home with you and your family.

I will go with you and step on that womans head and tell her a thing or two. I hope she got reported for animal crulity. How people can hurt an animal is beyond me. These kind of people have some serious problems. That is wonderful that you rescued her. Traci

Oh, you are my favorite type of lady....a dog rescuer. My sister Bonnie told me about you and I have recently rescued a doxie/chihuachihua mix who has lost all of his hair due to a parasite....I have worked around the clock for 2 1/2 months getting him cleared up. I have had to feed him 8 times a day....etc...sleep deprived is my middle name, but oh how sweet the warm, cuddly rewards.
