Hi all! I hope you are enjoying your weekend, mine has been super busy so far! Kayla had a soccer game yesterday and then I had my Santa in September class where we made 15 Christmas cards, three each of five designs - it was a lot of fun!!! So, I am going to share three of the cards that we made with you today - and stand by, I have lots of Christmas to show you now, lol! These were made with some of my new Holiday mini stuff - oh, how I love to be able to order early!!! And, I can tell you that this is the set that will be my Christmas cards this year....I think *wink* As you can see, we made three cards using the Cardinal Christmas stamp set, each with the same basic color scheme but looking very different! I love being able to show the versatility of one stamp set, and this one was a lot of fun to play with! The base of all three of these cards uses Riding Hood Red card stock and the rest of the card stock consists of Kiwi Kiss, Riding Hood Red, Naturals White, Whisper White, Chocolate Chip, and Old Olive - love these warm, rich colors together! For the first card, the main image is stamped in black stazon and watercolored with ink pads and blender pens, using a little stronger of the reds and greens (Ruby Red and Old Olive) to make this bird a little more bold. And, using that gorgeous Bella Rose Dp for the background was just a wonderful backdrop! The sentiment is stamped in Riding Hood Red classic ink and the leaves are stamped in Old Olive classic Ink. The second one is also watercolored with ink pads and blender pens, but we used the lighter reds and greens (Riding Hood Red and Kiwi Kiss). This is also using the Bella Rose Dp, but just the flip side (gotta love double sided designer paper!) Both of these cards used the Old Olive narrow grosgrain ribbon as well, and I think it really made the cards pop. And of course, my Ticket Corner Punch is used on both of these as well, I just love that little thing! The sentiment and leaves on the second one are stamped in Chocolate Chip classic ink which looks great next to the Riding Hood Red card stock! The third one we stamped the image in Brown Stazon, but left the image natural (we also stamped it on Naturals card stock). Again, we used Bella Rose, and added a strip of Chocolate Chip card stock that we used the Scallop Edge punch on. And, just check out that ribbon - oh, it is the new yummy ribbon in the holiday mini and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this ribbon - and you get a HUGE roll of it!! It has all my favorite colors in it, and it pulls them together beautifully on this card! And, the sentiment is once again stamped in Chocolate Chip classic ink. Simple cards, but they really loved them and I am quite happy with them myself!! Tomorrow I will show you another three we made using a different stamp set - enjoy the rest of your weekend!!!!!
