SCRAPBOOK SATURDAY - A BLACK AND WHITE CHALLENGE

Hi all!! Well, I did it - he is at the airport and I am so very sad! But, I felt so comforted by all of your comments yesterday, you gals are just good for my soul!!! Thanks to all of you for thinking of me - I know Christmas will be here before I know it, and he will be home again! He is so grown up now, and I was afraid we would lose that closeness, but we are actually closer now and I just love it! That helps - and he also promised to call me as often as his schedule permits because "I love talking to you, mom!" - Ahhhh.....those are wonderful words for a mom to hear! So, it will be okay once I get back into my regular routine!! And, speaking of, it is Scrapbook Saturday again and today's page is one I did for a black and white layout challenge I issued over at the Coconuts site. Want to play along? Just go log in and Jen will set you up with your very own gallery - I would love to see what you all come up with! And, hey, there is candy at stake from ME - and it is always yummy *wink* So, this page uses the new line from Rusty Pickle Pop Star Collection and when I saw this, it had my son written all over it - LOL! The arrows are actually cut from another sheet of the same collection, and I just had a blast making this! And, the paper has blank lines on it so I just used them for my journaling - cool, huh?! This pic is of Tyler and Dexter(5 months) sitting on the front porch and it epitomizes the personality of my middle child! He is a big prankster, he is full of jokes and laughter, and he warms my heart with that smile! I knew when I saw this picture that I had to use it! The rub-ons are from Stampin' Up! as are the card stock, and the white buttons. Everything else is from my stash! So, are you up for it??? I hope so!! Until tomorrow - toodles!!

I love your page...you know what drew me to it instantly? That graffiti sort of look...that is awesome! So unusual but fantastic at the same time! Love the black and white pic too!

The look on Tyler's face just makes me laugh and I can't help but wonder what's going on in the dog's mind too!

Hang in there my friend!

Oh yeah, that's Tyler alright. That boy is special. Give him a big hug for me, I miss having him make me laugh. You are right, that paper is perfect for that picture. It is awesome.
Tell Zach I think about him frequently, especially when I'm proudly wearing my Naval Academy t-shirt! I love hearing updates about how he's doing.
I love seeing your scrapbook pages!
Hugs!

Oh sweetie....I don't think letting go of our kids will ever be easy. I think we just have to somehow make peace with ourselves that's okay to fall apart instead of fighting all those emotions and trying to be strong. We're going wedding dress shopping on Thursday....can you see a train wreck of emotions coming for me????...yuppers !!
Love your scrapbook page and I can hardly wait to hug and squeeze and yup...cry together !!!!
