YUMMY, YUMMY, FRUIT SALAD!

I do believe this is a song by the Wiggles - I only know this because my friend's daughter is REALLY into them! My children missed the whole Wiggles phase (thank goodness for small favors!) but this song sticks in my mind.....a song about fruit salad! Which brings me to my post! It is my recipe card for this month's swap which was a side dish. I chose fruit salad and used my Tart and Tangy set since it was so perfect for the theme! Now, I had to make TWENTY of these which would normally be no problem - except I got a little ambitious with my stitching and boy oh boy, does my hand feel it! As you all know, I had surgery on my right hand and it gets very sore....I need to remember this when planning projects, lol! But, I have to say, I really do love the way it turned out, summery and bright, which is what I was aiming for. Here is a close-up of the recipe card so you actually see the details (if you want!) of the actual recipe. Everything on these cards is Stampin' Up! with the exception of the orange and fruit punch stickles I used on the fruit cut outs. I will leave you with the full recipe below. Have a wonderful day - I know I will, it is the last day of school and I am heading over to my daughter's school to watch her receive some awards and then summer vacation will have officially begun, WHOOHOO!!

I love the way these turned out too :) They look great! Love the colours. And your stitching is as great as ever. Sorry it hurt your hand so. I still need to try your apple bread. I just don't like to cook so it will be a while before I try it. Sad, I know! But the fruit salad sounds simple enough. I may try that sooner! TFS!

OK these are just so cute. I'm allergic to bananans so I'm thinking I could swap them out for pineapple. May have to try that and see if it would work or just leave them out. Everything else sounds yummy. :)

Oohh!! This fruit salad sounds so yummy - I need to try it out! I love anything fruity with granola!! One question - do you do all the stitching by hand? You mentioned your hand hurting! Ouch! I can't imagine paper piercing all of that!! This is a really fabulous swap - wish I was in it!! LOL!

Great recipe pages. I cannot believe you did all that stitching on each page. No wonder you arm hurt. But it looks fabulous.
