BUTTERFLY TRI-SHUTTER CARD

Happy Friday all!! I am a little late posting because I let myself sleep in this morning - aaaahhh....it felt good!!!! I feel rested, and motivated to STAMP!!! So, I thought I would share a fun card I just finished that I have been wanting to try which is the trishutter card that Beate did such a fab job demonstrating!! I think I will be making a few more of these babies, they are FUN!!! I used my stamp sets Flight of the Butterfly and Petal Pizzazz. Such a great card to play with because you have so much decorating room, lol!! And, I got to try out my new butterfly punch which is fabulous, no more cutting them out, just one press and they are done!!! Here is what the inside of the card looks like when you open it up - too fun, right??!! The papers are from the marvelous card kit I got at PaperPopsicles this month, I just love everything Melissa has over there! And, today is Freebie Friday for their digi images - yep, you can get a FREE IMAGE ONLY TODAY so hurry on over there and get one! It is a really cute little summery image today - yep, I got mine *wink* So, now I am off to run a bunch of errands and then meet my handsome hunk of a husband for dinner with the kiddos later tonight!! BUGS AND KISSES

Hi all!! WoW!! Two posts in a row?? I think I may have finally figured out how to balance my time - LOL! I am really enjoying stamping again - now I just have to start ordering all of those fabulous new stamps that I know are all being released everywhere, heehee!! Today I wanted to share a card I made using my set called Bugs and Kisses. I love this set and have not played with it in a while. I went with the dragon fly and actually made it dimensional by making two sets of wings and just paper piecing the second set. Here is a closeup of the actual wings so you can see it - I love this look! And, check out the polka dots on that ribbon - I LOVE LOVE LOVE the new in-color ribbons, they are yummy!! I also used lots of the new in-color card stock and yep, the more I use them, the more I love them! I also used Taylor's sketch this week - too fun, it will definitely be a keeper for me!! Now, I am off to work, but I will be back tomorrow with something fun to show you! And, I got to blog hop last night and I have to say, you all have been creating wonderful eye candy that I sure enjoyed after such a long day! So, take care and enjoy your day - thanks for stopping by, I really appreciate it!

I FOUND MY MOJO!

Happy Monday all!!! WOW!! This last month has been crazy, but I think I have finally settled into some sort of routine with regards to my new job! I know I have not been around much, but I needed to give myself some time to adjust or else I would have pulled out all my hair!!!! I did get to stamp this weekend, and really enjoyed myself - I remember why I love this hobby soooo much, it really does allow me to relax and have fun!! I decided to play with some of my new in-colors since I am still getting used to them, but I have to say, the more I use them, the more I like them. I used Julee's Mojo Monday sketch from last Monday (hey, it was Sunday when I did it *wink*) and love this sketch so I will be putting it in my to use again file, lol! I used my A Little Birdie stamp set and I have to confess, I must have missed this when I went through the retired list because when I went through my stamp closet last night and cleaned it out, I noticed it on there - I am sooooo sad, this is one of my fave sets! So, I am glad I used it one more time before it goes on the sale pile, heehee!! I made this card for a coworker who is turning 60 tomorrow....we are having a party for her in the office so I thought I would make her a card. I also decorated the inside of this one since it was for a special occasion - here is what the inside looks like. I really enjoy decorating the inside of my cards and always wonder why I don't do it more often....it really seems to finish the card for me. I played with some of my new designer paper too, and I am lovin' it!! I am not a huge purple fan, but this paper is absolutely yummy! It's called Cottage Wall and I love the rich, deep colors it has!!! So, I am working today BUT I do have some fun things to show you for the rest of the week AND I have built into my schedule time to do some blog hopping so I will be able to see what you have all been up to as well!! I have really missed you all and I appreciate that you are still stopping by to check on me. Some of you asked me about my DT work - unfortunately, I had to resign from my DT teams because it was not fair to the other gals that I could not meet my obligations each week. So, they have found wonderful replacements and I can now take place in the challenges when I have time! I am trying out for some new teams now - I figure I can work in a few here and there now that I have my life back into some semblance of order, LOL! And, I am hiring a housekeeper - I don't want to clean the house each and every weekend when I am off so that will be one less thing for me to do! Now, off to work - I hope all of you have a WONDERFUL day and I appreciate you all taking the time to stop by - your comments really do MAKE MY DAY!!!

I STAMPED, I REALLY REALLY STAMPED!!

Happy weekend all!! WHOOHOO - I am very excited that it is here!!! I am soooo exhausted since I have been putting in 15 hour days at my new job! I love the job, it is interesting and challenging, but I for one will be very happy when all the CA budget drama is over!!!! And, I have not been able to stamp for weeks but decided that last night I was going to break out the stamps that I have not even inked up from the new catty and play!! So, I used Beate's weekend sketch 90 challenge this week which is being hosted by Laurie and got to work. Now, I changed the sketch a bit because I wanted to use a rectangle rather than an oval, but the basic concept is still there...and I may make another one using the oval shape. I used my new stamp set called Autumn Days and I just love it, that peacock is so much fun to stamp with because there is so much you can do with it. I cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals and like the effect of the peacock walking through the foliage. The DSP is Thoroughly Modern and I combined it with some of the Tall Tales as well. I also tried out my new In-Colors and I have to say, the combinations are nice! I stitched, sponged, and stamped and finally came up with a card I thought I could share in public (I cannot tell you how many I threw away, ugggghh.....) so I hope you all like it!! I am spending the afternoon with a few of my customer friends who are threatening to send a search party out for me because they want their new catties, lol!! Sooo, we will spend this afternoon happily drooling over the catty and filling out order forms AND stamping *wink* I hope you all have a fabulous day - and I WILL be visiting all of you today and can't wait to see what you come up with!

And, we swam, tubed, fished, and ate good food, played lots of games (boggle, Yahtzee, and uno for some of the favorites) and just enjoyed our family time!! I will have some pics for you in the next few days, but today I want to share the layout for the Scrap and Stamp Saturday Challenge this week which is to create a layout that has something to do with water - fishing, boating, bathtime, swimming, whatever you want as long as their is water involved!! And, remember, you must include some stamping as well - we are after all a Scrap AND Stamp challenge *wink* The layout I did shows our trip to Maui with the kids where we had waterslides right at the pool at the resort we stayed at. WHIMSY CHRISTMAS IN JULY CHALLENGE

Happy Monday all!! Well, I am still on vacation and I am sure I am having a wonderful time!! I wanted to make sure I posted my Whimsy Challenge card since this was such a fun challenge - make a card for Christmas in July!! Too fun AND I get ahead on my Christmas cards!! I decided on the moose, he just screams Christmas to me so I colored him and cut him out! I stamped my trees from the Lovely as a Tree stamp set in the background and added some fun sparkly fluff from OCL to make my snow. I popped my moose up on dimensionals and put him on the card as the main focal image and I am really happy with how it turned out! Added some bling, cut out my oval scallop using my die for my Big Shot and Voila!! Christmas in July! Take a gander over at the Whimsy challenge site and see what the other DT gals did - I just know they totally ROCKED it since I saw some of them before I left!! And, if you decide to play along, make sure you upload your link to the site to get entered into the drawing for something fun! Nope, you don't have to use Whimsy Stamps, but if you have them, why not use them?
