A CHRISTMAS TREAT FOR MY HOSTESS

Hi all!!! Well, today is Tony's birthday so I am making him a homemade lasagna and his whole family is coming over to help celebrate!!! He told me not to make a fuss, but I think he is secretly pleased that I am, lol! So, a quick post today! I wanted to share this cute treat box I made for my hostess of my workshop last night (it went very well, they were wonderful ladies!) Now, this idea is not my original idea, but when I saw Angie's tutorial a couple of months ago, I knew I had to make one!! That girl is a pure genius, I tell ya!! If you have never been to her blog, you really are missing out, she makes such wonderful things and she is sooooo creative!! This cute little box uses the Top Note Die with the Big Shot - just love how versatile this die is!!! It came together very quickly and then I decorated it using some of my favorite winter embellishments to include my Felt Flurries of course!!! I am working on coming up with a way to use these after Christmas is over....I just love them! And, I added some bling in the center with the ice square green rhinestone brad. The closure for this box is made using Jumbo Eyelets , which if you know me at all, know this is my all-time favorite embellishment! The inside of this cute little box holds small candy bars, or little single chocolates, which is what I used here. Yummy little Reeses, who can resist those? My hostess absolutely loved this and the rest of them really wanted her to share, lol!! This last picture is of the side of the box so you can see what it looks like all closed up. I love this and already have plans to do something with this for Valentines, it's too cute not to!! I will leave you with the recipe, then I am off to make lasagna AND a homemade chocolate chip coconut cake - YUMMY!!! Have a wonderful weekend! And, stop by tomorrow, and I will share the project we did for my workshop!
